Help with boy's name

Really stuck for a boys name. Don't mind James / Jamie but don't love it. Quite like Arthur but have been vetoed. Can't bear Arlo, Otis type names and don't like cutesy old fashioned abbreviations. Or surnames as first names. Or anything that is suggestive of far more interesting heritage than he'll have because it sounds pretentious. And if anyone suggests anytjing like Quentin I will actually cry or assume you're joking. Please please help me!!

I’m the same with boys names and seem to have similar likes/dislikes to you. I also have a few names for girls but absolutely nothing has come up for a boy 😩

If it helps, I like Angus, Ross and Scott but for other reasons I can’t have them.

I like Leo and Rowan too if that helps but close family got there first on both counts!

Thanks, there's nothing there I really dislike apart from Hugo but nothing really grabbing me either which is the problem I think. Maybe one of those will really suit him when he arrives and I'll feel differently? It's so hard! Could have named a girl 3 times over, no idea why I'm struggling so much for a boy.

Reading between the lines sounds like you like more traditional/not too out there but not old fashioned names? What is it you like about James/Jamie- might help narrow suggestions?
