Is Anna overused?

I’m not pregnant but Anna is in my top 5 girls names.
I just read another friend in which OP was asking opinions on Anna as well as 2 other names and quite a few comments said it’s overused.

I personally don’t know of any little Anna’s. I just asked my friend who’s a primary school teacher and there’s just one in her school. The reason I like it is because it’s obviously a well known name but it’s not too “unique” I’d never thought of it as a name where there’d be more than one in a class for example.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Totally overused and boring.

I think its a timeless name enjoying a surge in popularity at the moment.
My daughter has a name thats always called overused on mn but there were only 2 others in her primary school none in her class.
People often say what a lovely name she has and it's easy to spell and pronounce -as Anna is. I would go for it

Yes... I didnt know another little Anna, called my daughter that ... Three in her class! It is really popular on its own as well as linked on eg Annabelle, Anna-Rose etc

We are overrun with Annas in my school so from my perspective, yes. It's overused and bland - falls into the same bracket as Emily, Ella, Sophie, Eva etc. Whether or not other schools have that experience I don't know.

It’s beautiful. I have a 9year old and a 13 year old and have never come across an Anna.
