  1. Theo
  2. Alfie
  3. Archie

Where abouts in the world are you please just so I can gage popularity?!

OP posts:

North London

Theo - the most current for babies I think. I know 2 under one.
Alfie - very common but peaked a while back. I know one who’s about 10.
Archie - same as Alfie - it’s more a dog’s name now I think!

DramaAlpaca · 23/07/2020 23:27

I'm in Ireland. I know two Theos. The Alfie/Archie trend hasn't caught on here thank God at least not where I live.

Angelmonkey · 23/07/2020 23:24

Southeast here - I know 1 Theo about 7, 2 Alfies - one is 10, the other about 14. Also know an Alfred, sometimes called Alfie. Don’t know any Archies

Shmithecat2 · 23/07/2020 23:04

They're all in the top 20 for 2018, so there will be a few everywhere I imagine.

I know many Alfie’s and Archie’s between the ages of 15 to 20.... I don’t know many small kids so wouldn’t know about that age range.... in West London

chipsandgin · 23/07/2020 23:02

South West - all very popular, both sons (17 and 11) have at least one of each as friends and two of each in some classes - if anything Alfie and Archie more popular that Theo (which I know about 4 teens and 2 primary kids). Lovely names though and no idea if they're popular in younger years?

Smellybluecheese · 23/07/2020 23:00

I’m in Bucks. Loads of Theos, no Alfies or Archies.

BikeRunSki · 23/07/2020 23:00

I know several of all of them amongst my DC’s peers (they are 11 and 8). West Yorks.

OntheWaves40 · 23/07/2020 22:57

Very. North West.

winetime89 · 23/07/2020 22:55

In my child's year there is one Archie
two Theo's and one Alfie. that's Yorkshire

Luckingfovely · 23/07/2020 22:55

SE - know several of each. All nice names but all pretty common these days.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 23/07/2020 22:55

Loads of Archies and Alfies here, including a lot of dogs. Never met a Theo. (Scotland.)

IndecentFeminist · 23/07/2020 22:43

All very popular. Right down South here.

Whatsyourflava · 23/07/2020 22:41

The OnS DP official breakdowns of names by area so you'll be able to check the exact numbers from the 2018 figures if you go on the ons website

That'll be more accurate for you

Sally872 · 23/07/2020 22:39

5 Theo's age 3 and younger. 2 Alfie's aged 6. 1 Archie age 7

Central Scotland.

All nice names but personally Theo is over used in my circle.

Littlepond · 23/07/2020 22:37

South East. Super popular.

FrugiFan · 23/07/2020 22:36

I know a few Alfies and Archie's but they're all a bit older like teenagers, not babies or toddlers.

I know one Theo who is 3.

Hellhath · 23/07/2020 22:36

Yorkshire.
The Theo I know is 8, the Archie is 9, the Alfie is 5. Archie and Alfie seem to be on the decline.

HeeeeyDuggee · 23/07/2020 22:34

South west

Their are 6 Alfie’s in my sons year (year3) 2 are in his class. We know another 3 Alfie’s from the Childminder’s.

We know 4 Archies. 2 in my sons class and others are friends kids

Lots of Theo’s! I’ve got 3 or 4 in my baby groups for my toddler, a couple I know from eldest school and loads in my babies baby groups (pre covid)

If you like the name tho I wouldn’t let its popularity stop you

mamaduckbone · 23/07/2020 22:30

Theo was popular in ds14's year and I know of one other aged around 10 but I don't know any little ones. Alfie and Archie I know a few of each between the age of 5 and 11 - more Alfies than Archies. I'd say they are all middling popular names. We're East Midlands.

AnnaSW1 · 23/07/2020 22:29

Theodore rather than Theo is very popular near me. The other two aren't. I'm in London

Lollypop4 · 23/07/2020 22:26

I only know of 1 each in our small community, West Wales.
I know a few Alfies though from out of area

PatchworkElmer · 23/07/2020 22:26

I know 3 Theos, and 2 Archies... no Alfies. East of England.

Mustardpot · 23/07/2020 22:23

Lots and lots of Alfies and Archies, no Theos. South East England.

mnahmnah · 23/07/2020 22:21

All three are popular in the North West
