Should I let my kids name their siblings

Me and my DH are expecting twins later this year and are finding it near impossible to think of name! However our children have brought it upon themselves to name them. Me and my DH are not against this and have said we will go with whatever they choose (within reason obviously) and i think it will make the names more heartfelt and personal. However many people have advised us against this and called us crazy! Is it a bad idea or will it be a great way to come up with a creative meaningful name??

Retain the power of veto!

They can suggest I suppose. You could end up with some doozies.

My daughter named my son. She already had two brothers and really wanted a sister but had another brother so we let her name him.
Matthew.

Your kids get to choose names when they become parents!

I actually have a friend who is a twin. They are called Badger and Disco😂 - also names by their siblings.

Fuck no. It gives them too much "ownership" of their younger siblings. They're not pets.

We let our then 3 year old pick a middle name for his brother. The whole way through the pregnancy he was adamant this was the name and he never changed it. His brother was born when he was 4 and three months. I love the fact he picked the name, the younger boy just laughs and said he only picked it because of a character on the children's programme and he wanted to get back to watching tv so just picked one Grin.

Depends entirely on the names.
If they like Edward and Anna then great. If they want to call them Cement mixers and Badger not so much.
