How many Rafe's do you know?

I asked recently how many Milo's you all knew. It's seems popular. The other name on our shortlist is Rafe so I'd be interested to compare. Thanks

One 8-year-old

Madcats · 20/07/2020 11:46

I know a couple of dogs called "Milo". It is the name of a Nestle milk drink, too.

I also know a "Ralph", pronounced like "safe", who is in his mid-50's.

Pelleas · 20/07/2020 11:42

Makes me think of Raef from The Apprentice series 4 (?). He was lovely!

ArriettyJones · 20/07/2020 09:15

@Tanfastic

None, how is this pronounced incidentally?
To rhyme with waif.
frustrationcentral · 20/07/2020 09:14

I don't know any Rafe's but know of 3 Rafferty's. Love the name Rafe!

eausolovely · 20/07/2020 09:09

None, small town in the North. But I think it's a lovely name!

Tanfastic · 20/07/2020 09:09

None, how is this pronounced incidentally?

LadyCatStark · 20/07/2020 09:08

1 aged about 5ish. He lives on our street and is utterly bonkers 😂

pepsicola5 · 20/07/2020 09:06

None. Fantastic name.

One, he's in his 20s.

motheroreily · 20/07/2020 08:04

One, he's about 40, spelt Raph

PotteringAlong · 20/07/2020 08:00

One. He’s 3.

TeaAndHobnob · 20/07/2020 07:41

One, a baby

Dionysus78 · 20/07/2020 07:36

Two, 5 and about 11. And I REALLY don't know many people.

Whatsyourflava · 20/07/2020 07:30

Never met a Rafe or a Milo
I'm surprised you think Milo was popular based on the replies. Most people only seemed to know one and when you think of how many hundreds of people you "know of", one Milo doesn't seem like many to me. Appreciate it's subjective though and maybe you'd prefer people didn't know any Milo's ( like me)
The problem with Rafe is its very similar to other names like Ralph and that's got much more popular recently. Whilst I don't know any Rafe's, I know a few Ralphs

IlanaWexler · 20/07/2020 07:11

One, spelt Raife, pronounced "Rayf" (one syllable)

KatherineJaneway · 20/07/2020 07:09

None.

Anotherthink · 20/07/2020 07:08

None. The thing with popularity of names is it depends on your local area. Lots of the names in the top 20 baby names barely feature in my dcs primary school. There's no point crossing a name off your list because posters on MN say there's loads in a village in Surrey if you're living on Mull

Trumpton · 20/07/2020 07:07

I know one Rafe (40) and one Rafferty (8) . I really like the name .
