Hello again, thoughts on Elizabeth Alice?

Hello again, I recently put a thread up asking what people thought of Elizabeth Grace, and as many people correctly pointed out, Grace is quite overused for a middle name. So how do people feel about Elizabeth Alice instead? We already have a DS called Alexander Charles for context. Thanks Smile

It’s lovely

jessstan2 · 06/08/2020 23:50

Very nice indeed, classic, as long as your surname doesn't begin with R, T, L or K :-).

bridgetreilly · 06/08/2020 23:30

Elizabeth Mary

ReallyReallyReally · 06/08/2020 16:09

Love it. If we had a dd , she was going to be Elisabeth Alysia, she turned out to be a he!

Miljea · 06/08/2020 15:52

I'm all for 'boring' names (countering the poster, upthread!).

Sure beats 'try-hard' and Yooneek!

I really like Elizabeth Alice/Grace/Laura, they all work well.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 06/08/2020 15:48

Really lovely 😊

AntiAuntieAnty · 05/08/2020 21:53

Oh I love Elizabeth Laura!

justoverthehorizon · 05/08/2020 21:36

It's really lovely!

Feetupkettleon · 05/08/2020 21:31

Elizabeth Alice is a beautiful name!

goodmorningphil · 05/08/2020 21:20

I love it!

Grinchlywords · 05/08/2020 21:00

Wonderful.
I always insist on the full four syllables too.

AcrobaticCardigan · 21/07/2020 21:33

Love Elizabeth Alice! While Elizabeth Grace is very classic, Elizabeth Alice feels a bit more stylish (to me at least!).

foxtiger · 21/07/2020 21:10

I know someone who has a DD with this exact combination and I've always really liked it. Go for it!

Hailtomyteeth · 20/07/2020 16:52

Love it. My great-grandmother's name.

MikeUniformMike · 20/07/2020 16:51

Love it. I know an adult one and she's lovely.

workingtowards · 20/07/2020 13:08

As an Alice Elizabeth myself, I can highly recommend both names, whatever the order. Smile

NataliaOsipova · 20/07/2020 13:07

I was just going to ask what letter your surname begins with....

If it’s G -definitely Alice
If it’s T or R - definitely Grace...

Grin
Allgirlskidsanddogs · 20/07/2020 13:06

Agreed that you can’t have Alice with Alex! I have an Alice Elizabeth so that is my fav, but as you can’t reversed is my preference!

Merrz · 20/07/2020 13:05

Love Elizabeth Alice sounds perfect

Elouera · 20/07/2020 13:05

As long as your surname doesnt start with T, otherwise her initials would be E-A-T!!!

I find both Grace and Alice as classic, but boring IMO. I prefer Elizabeth Laura, or the other suggestions of Fleur, Hope etc.

Joseph1986 · 20/07/2020 13:01

@2tired2bewitty not really, would just be nice to have something slightly more uncommon, but still conventional.

@OhTheRoses I can’t have an Alex and an Alice Grin - that would get so confusing; they sound very similar.

@daisypond I like Claire and Jane. Also Frances but my older brother is a Frank/Francis so I wouldn’t want to use it. Elizabeth Laura was another one I come up with.

Lovely. Much nicer than Elizabeth Grace.

2tired2bewitty · 19/07/2020 23:05

Does it matter if a middle name is popular? We used to joke at work that the three of us sitting together covered the most popular middle names of our generation - Anne, Louise and Jane, don’t think it caused any of us any grief.
