Opinions on Hallie

Opinions on the name Hallie please!

I think it's a really nice name and I like that it could be shortened to Hal (although I think I'd let my child choose their own NN rather than planning one).
My OH loves it, but I have a few concerns...

  • Spelling: I know it can also be spelled Halle but don't love this spelling as I feel people wouldn't pronounce the "ee" at the end.
  • Pronunciation - is it obvious that is should be "Hal-ee"? (I've read somewhere about people mispronouncing it Hailey - which I don't love!)
  • Is it too much of a nickname?
  • Is it becoming too popular?

Thankkkks! Smile

I have a Hallie! She gets called Hals by us a lot :) we've had no issues with people spelling or pronouncing her name.

Love it. I think the spelling Hallie makes it obvious how it should be pronounced.

What about Halley?
Like the comet. I like the name and would never pronounce it Hailey but I’m sure there are some who would.
