DP grandad recently passed away. He brought DP up from a young age. We are due dd later in the year and want to name her after him.
What's everybody's opinions on Francesca, but known as Frankie?
Middle name would Ivy. Thanks

I think that is a lovely name and nickname, really nice. And as previous poster said a lovely way to remember a family member.

I like it, and it is a lovely way for your DP to remember his childhood.

As you say, there is plenty of scope to abbreviate it (Fran/Frank/Frankie/Ches). I think it works well with 'Ivy'.

I knew a few people with that name who are now in their 50's and 20's.
