Thoughts on Elizabeth Grace?

How do people feel about this? Her big brother is Alexander Charles, and Alexander and Elizabeth seem to go hand in hand. Thanks Smile

Gorgeous!

ChockyBicky · 17/07/2020 21:45

I like it, I have a Grace Elizabeth though.

MikeUniformMike · 17/07/2020 16:59

Another one saying Grace is overused as a middle name, as are Rose and May.

ILoveStickers · 17/07/2020 15:54

Nice, maybe a bit boring (but if that's the worst anyone can say, who cares!).

Almost all girls seem to have Grace, Rose or May as their middle name at the moment, so I'd pick something else.

AcrobaticCardigan · 17/07/2020 15:32

Lovely. Beautiful classic name. Matches Alexander perfectly. Like Betsy as a nn for Elizabeth.

Howgreenwasmyvalley · 17/07/2020 15:25

No need to shorten it at all. Just make sure you always call her Elizabeth and most people will copy you. She may want to have it shortened when she's older, but then she can choose it herself.

Spied · 17/07/2020 15:22

Perfectly fine.

I love Grace.

Pemba · 17/07/2020 15:20

Classic. Sounds good. Loads of available diminutives for Elizabeth. (I don't think it would be confusing, if you, and later on your daughter, decides which one she wants. rather than allowing other people to start calling her 'Lizzie' for example when she'd rather be Beth. Or she could use different diminutives with different groups of people - could be fun!) Grace flows well with Elizabeth too.

What's not to like?

OhKnackers · 17/07/2020 15:08

It's my daughters middle names in that order too so I love it :)

Mischance · 17/07/2020 15:02

As long as your surname is not Green (EGG!) then I say go for it - they are lovely. I have an Elizabeth - we all call her Beth in fact.

Parkandride · 17/07/2020 15:01

I know a lovely sibling pair called Alexander and Elizabeth so you're right they sound good together Smile

jessstan2 · 17/07/2020 15:00

Absolutely lovely. Classic.

DramaAlpaca · 17/07/2020 14:59

It's good, very classic and timeless. Nice choice. Grace isn't really my cup of tea but it pairs beautifully with Elizabeth.

Joseph1986 · 17/07/2020 14:46

@gower4 only thing I’m concerned about with the diminutives is that there is just so many of them (Elle, Ellie, Ella, Eliza, Liz, Lizzy, Beth etc) that people might shorten it to many different things and it could get rather confusing.

Elizabeth is lovely, but Grace is a bit boring as a middle name.

gower4 · 17/07/2020 14:20

Elizabeth is nice, but doesn't really have any nice diminutives in my opinion.

BeTheHokeyMan · 17/07/2020 14:13

Beautiful and classic

iwontfloaatt · 17/07/2020 14:10

Elizabeth isn't to my taste but it's classic, timeless, and has been consistently in the top 100 so it won't date. You can't go wrong with it really. It goes nicely with Alexander Charles too.

bodgeitandscarper · 17/07/2020 14:08

I think it's lovely. I knew an Elizabeth Ann, but may be a bit old fashioned for now.

Joseph1986 · 17/07/2020 14:02

@daisypond I can’t really think of any other ones to use - do you have any suggestions? Preferably one syllable like with Charles. Thanks Smile

Lovely

Cam2020 · 17/07/2020 13:57

Love it.

Feetupkettleon · 17/07/2020 13:56

Beautiful!

daisypond · 17/07/2020 13:53

Yes, it’s good. But Grace gets overlooked as a middle name, though it’s great as a first name. I’d pick a different middle name.

Tinamou · 17/07/2020 12:33

Beautiful
