Alice or Verity

What are your opinions on these names, I prefer one and DH prefers the other. There are other names such as Harriet and Emma which we like but can’t use due to our surname so really these are our final choices.

Alice definitely, not keen on Verity.

Love both. Very classic and tasteful. They also sound good together, with Alice Verity having the edge rather than vice versa.

I like Alice a lot and when I read the thread title I immediately preferred Alice. Having said that, I suppose Verity has a bit more punch with the hard consonants.

Both lovely. If it were my choice I'd go with Verity.
They sound great together, either way round, if you want one as a middle name.

Verity reminds me of creepy Kenny Everett's character Verity Treacle.

I went to school with sisters named Verity and Harriet so it's interesting to see them sort of put together in your thread!

Alice and Verity are both fabulous names. I know more teenaged Alices than I do Veritys but neither name feels overused at the moment.

Alice is lovely classic but one I would of used ( if DH allowed)

Verify seems like a posh name or trying to be posh, so it depends on if you are or aspire to be.

Verity was he name of 2 really chavvy girls where I grew up.
