What do people think of Robert?

Me and DW are quite liking this name right now and it’s versatility of nicknames (Rob, Robbie, Bob, Bobby). What do people think of it? For additional context; he already has two brothers called Nicholas George and Peter James. His middle name will be Samuel or Joseph, surnamed Wilson. Thanks Smile

@CorianderLord I can’t really “make sure” he’s a Rob when he’s an adult, by that point they’re kind of free to do what they like so it’s up to him if he’s Rob/Bob.

Ooh, I'm going to suggest Archive on a unisex name thread.

Rob and Robbie are nice, not so keen on Bob and Bobby, but Bertie is awful.

My secondary scholl has 1 Robert and a handful of Bobby's. It hasn't quite come back in fashion like the Alfies and Archives but it's a solid name.

I love it. The only ones I know are my DB who is in his mid 60s and my friends son in his mid 30s. I’m probably biased as they are both wonderful men. I think it works for every age and is a classic.

I know two Roberts that are 4. I think it's a good name, everyone knows how to say it and spell it, it suits your other children's names, plus lots of nickname choice. I have a Thomas which is similar to Robert.

Nick, Pete and Rob....that works.
