With any of them, she'll have to put up with a lifetime of everyone assuming she's a boy when they hear her name. There are much better unisex names that work nicely for girls (Charlie, Eden, Alexis for example).

I'm with Tilly on this one.

Honestly why give a girl a diminutive of a boy's name....?
Give her a real name fgs.
Dylan is bad enough for a boy why inflict it on a girl...

Will your daughter grow up thinking you actually wanted a boy if you give her a boys name?

Sorry I clicked send too soon!! It is a shame Spencer is in the family already. What about James?

I do like Stevie.

I've got to be honest OP. I hate them. There are plenty of non frilly girls names. I bet you wouldn't give a boy a traditional girl's name. Why is that?

romannumerals · 14/07/2020 22:16

Me too @Bertyb7 Spencer is an amazing suggestion and would go for it but for a family member called Spencer! Such a shame! Thank you for that suggestion

I more think of them as unisex names (not boys names) but I also like girls name which aren't too feminine. My fave (but not on your list) is Spencer.
