Hi!

Love the name Azalea just wondering how you would pronounce it?! Not sure if I'm saying it right! 😂

Thanks

Az ay leah

DoTheMaccaroni · 14/07/2020 14:14

Same way you pronounce the flower, Azelea Banks and Iggy Azalea 😜

My OH reeeeally wanted this for our dd but the singers ruined it for me.

CallItLoneliness · 14/07/2020 13:58

Uh-ZAY-lee-uh

onceuponatimeinsuburbia · 14/07/2020 13:55

As in the flowering shrub? Then Az-ZAY-lee-ah in the UK, emphasis on the 2nd syllable and Az-aah-LEE-ah in the US, slight emphasis on the 3rd. US pronunciation is softer.
Think of the difference between how Dahlia is pronounced- Day-LEE- ah ( UK) and Dah-Lee-Ah ( US)
People will take their cue from how you pronounce it, so your preference really.

whichteaareyou · 14/07/2020 13:54

Az zay lee ah

GreyishDays · 14/07/2020 13:54

It’s clearer to listen to I think

AGlassStaircase · 14/07/2020 13:52

As - ay (to rhyme with hay)- lee -uh

glitterfarts · 14/07/2020 13:50

A-zay-lee-ah with first "a" like cat or hat.

GreyishDays · 14/07/2020 13:49

Or more clearly

azz AIL ya

BabyBrainJane · 14/07/2020 13:49

Az-ay-lee-ah x

GreyishDays · 14/07/2020 13:49

weebarra · 14/07/2020 13:48
