Hi! My boy/boy twins will be making an appearance in less than 3 weeks and we only have one name 😩

Really struggling to find another, preferably one-syllable, name we both like!

I feel like I've looked at all the names in the world, so Mumsnet ladies - help me please!!!

@beth804 - James was the name we picked for our eldest son. We struggled to think of boys names we really liked and it was one we both agreed on and was a 'nice enough' name. It very much was his name from the moment he arrived. Although interestingly when it came to registering him and eventually his younger brother, we added a second middle name on a spur of the moment decision at the registrars office. Not that either would ever have had these additions as first names. But it amuses me that we did this for the boys and not our girls. Our girls were always going to be the first name we picked.

Roger, known as Bob. I knew a Bob when we were in our teens. His name suited him perfectly.

Lee
Paul
Mark
James
Jim
Kirk
Kurt
Carl
Sean/Shaun
Roy - I know 2 young Roys.

I'm thinking if you're already shortening Thomas to Tommy, you're not adverse to considering that type of name for twin 2. So;

Bob (Robert)

Peter (Pete)
John/Jon (Jonathon)
Zac (Issac)
Ashley (Ash)
Anthony/Antony (Ant)
Joshua (Josh)
Joseph (Joe)
Philip (Phil)
Christopher (Chris)
Daniel (Dan)
Bart (Bartholemew)
Max (Maximus/Maxwell/Maximilian)
Drew (Andrew)
Luke (Lucas)
Will/Bill (William).

@Beth804 Tommy and George's father was Joe (Joseph). I'll give you the whole family of brothers - there's got to be one here - I feel it 😀

Matt (Matthew), Joss (Josiah), Sam (Samuel) Josh (Joshua) Bill (William) and Hopper (not sure where that came from!)

Yes, Thomas for bc but Tommy in real life lol! I really like Roger, but DH isn't a fan 👎

So far I like Jake, Joe and Max - I think I'm waiting for one I totally love, but that might not happen.

Did anyone else pick a name they 'quite liked' but then it grew on them?

Fred or George.

Tommy and Fred
Tommy and George (my uncles names - and they were the best of friends all their lives)
