Wondering if I can get some help...I really want to use the name Clementine but really struggling with a middle name that flows nicely...

Current options are;

Clementine Grace
Clementine Olivia
Clementine Hope
Clementine Mable

Not really sure of any of them! 🤷🏻‍♀️ What do you think? Any better options?

Yeah I don't know if hope is a bit cheesy!

Clementine Pearl?

Ellmau · 03/07/2020 22:35

I rather like Hope for a 2020 baby.

Grace is nice too.

I don't like Mable, especially with that spelling.

crumpet · 03/07/2020 20:27

I’d go for one syllable

BimbleWimble · 03/07/2020 20:22

Clementine Anna

AnnaNimmity · 03/07/2020 20:15

Oh I think go for a long name e g. :

Clementine Jacinta
Clementine Miranda
Clementine Victoria
Clementine Alexandra
Clementine Iolanthe
Clementine Hermione
Clementine Allegra
Clementine Georgiana

I think Winston Churchill's wife pronounced her name "teen" so that always seems the right way to me.

(My H vetoed this name, but I loved it!).

midsomermurderess · 03/07/2020 19:59

Is such a long and fairly distinctive name does it even need a middle name? Could you honour a family member of you go for one?

raindrop83 · 03/07/2020 17:16

The teen or tyne thing is a whole other debate! We can't figure out which to go with...🤷🏻‍♀️

How about Eliza?

Clementine Eliza sounds nice I think. That's with me thinking it's Clemen-teen though, you might be thinking Clemen-tyne

stophuggingme · 03/07/2020 16:44

Clementine is a bit of a twee name anyway imo though it’s sweet too.
I like Faith and Eve with it

How about

Blythe
Dot
Liv - instead of Olivia
Ruth
Prue
Wren

raindrop83 · 03/07/2020 16:37

Ok maybe some of them are a bit twee! 🙈I think it's a really difficult name to pair up...

StuntCroissant · 03/07/2020 14:24

My little sister is Clementine Olivia so it sounds natural to me. She's 25 now.

bridgetreilly · 03/07/2020 14:23

In order of preference:
Clementine Eve: lovely
Clementine Faith: also like this
Clementine Fleur: Not my personal taste, but fine.
Clementine Grace: It's fine but Grace is a bit boring

These two, however, belong in a garden catalogue and are so twee as to make my teeth hurt:
Clementine Belle
Clementine Rose

Destroyedpeople · 03/07/2020 14:21

Honestly out of that list I think Faith is lovely

MyOtherProfile · 03/07/2020 14:20

Is it bad that the first thing I thought of was Banana? In my defence we have just had our Sainsbury's delivery and I'm now planning a fruit salad ...

Destroyedpeople · 03/07/2020 14:20

Satsuma or Mandarin

OhRosalind · 03/07/2020 14:19

Clementine Belle sounds a bit twee. Fleur also sounds too frilly paired with clementine. The others are lovely.

raindrop83 · 03/07/2020 12:32

Lots of nice possibilities, so far I think I'm liking...

Clementine Faith
Clementine Belle
Clementine Eve
Clementine Rose
Clementine Fleur
Clementine Grace

What do you think??

micc · 03/07/2020 12:12

My daughter is called Clementine Elizabeth
It's long but I think it sounds really nice, she has a short last name so it works, plus it's a family name.
So maybe something like
Clementine Louise or
Clementine Isabelle
I think Clementine Grace sounds lovely too :) xx

stophuggingme · 03/07/2020 11:16

I rather like Clementine Joy

Also like
Clementine Kate
Clementine Belle
Clementine Maeve
Clementine Beth
Clementine Faith

mrscatalano · 03/07/2020 11:13

Maude is nice and Pearl. I agree Rose is a very popular middle name but the first name is unusual enough that I don't think it matters as much iyswim?

bridgetreilly · 03/07/2020 11:08

Mabel, not Mable.

Clementine Joy
Clementine Ruth
Clementine Lois
Clementine Kate
Clementine Maud

raindrop83 · 03/07/2020 11:07

I agree, maybe one syllable is better as our surname is 3 syllables too, don't want it to be too much of a mouthful!

OP posts:
OhRosalind · 03/07/2020 11:04

One syllable is nicer I think. Clementine Rose / Maude / Eve / Faith / Hope / Joan
