Love the name Minnie!!

With the vagina slang.. Willy and Percy is also. Doesn’t stop many people calling their sons William and Percy. Just saying!

I'm in South London and I've heard it used for vagina a good few times. I'm not from here originally so didn't know about it before but it does seem to be pretty common usage.

It really is terrible, like one of the worst names ever. Athough I agree with PP, if it's twins go with Minnie and Fanny Grin

My daughter’s name is not Minnie but my son can’t pronounce her actual name so he calls her Minnie. So now she has become Minnie by accident. Obviously it’s not the name I would have chosen for her, knowing its connotations, but it actually suits her so well and now I find it really cute.

I find it a bit mimsy. It’s the kind of name you’d give a second-string character in a sitcom, like one of the heroine’s more peripheral friends...

Don't shoot the messenger! I only found out as my own dd had it as a nickname for a while cos so small.
Possibly it's regional.

If you really love it, perhaps use it as a nickname, so she has a fall back. Traditionally, it’s a nickname for Mary. It would also work as a nickname for Wilhelmina or Minerva.

I like it but I've heard a lot of people here on MN say it's slang for vulva or vagina. If it's such common slang that would render it a pet-only name for me.
