What could Lina be short for?

Lina pronounced 'Lee-na'

I also like Lena pronounced 'Lay-na'

Dont choose Lena pronounced Layna or your dd will spend her entire life saying, "No, it's not pronounced Lena, it's Layna"...

It's a name in it's own right. Arabic and also Lithuanian.

Lena is also a name of German origin.
