Bonnie and Skye

On my quest to find a girls name I love, I've found the names Bonnie and Skye.

What do you think of these names? Which do you prefer and why? If neither, please say!
And do you think you would they go nicely with Noah and Jacob?

I know an adult bonny.
She is a kiss-ass cool woman.
My ds wanted to marry her when he was about 5!
She is lovely
I think her full name is bonita but for the last 25 years, I have only ever known her use bonny

Of your others, I like them all except Elsie which seems built for suffering.

Blythe Annabel is good.

A good friend's granny was called Bonnie, but her given name was Blythe. I always loved that, because they kind of mean the same thing. And Blythe is so beautiful and retro cool.

So that's what I'd do - call your baby Blythe and just call her Bonnie, introduce her as Bonnie, and she'll have a great name and a wonderful 'Sunday' name too.

I know a —horrible— dog called Bonnie, I call it Bonstance.
What about Connie, it’s not an adjective, so is immediately better than bonny/bonnie.

Not keen on Elsie as it's a bit cutesy for me, but Annabel and Chloe are lovely. Isabella and similar names (Isabel, Isabelle etc) are extremely popular but still lovely too.

I prefer Bonnie to Skye but like them both. Out of the other names you mentioned I prefer Chloe.

I’m afraid I think along the same lines as the PP who said baby Skye has her ears pierced and a pink pram, which will certainly have a fur trim. I rather like Bonnie. And I find Bonnie a bit more interesting than the others on your list: Annabel, Chloe, Isabella and Elsie are all pretty dull. Elsie is my least favourite, as it is dull AND frumpy at the same time.

I feel horrible saying this but together they are dogs names when you put them together. Independently Skye before Bonnie but neither really. What about Grace/Graceanne? Love your boys names!

I'm a middle aged Bonnie living in Scotland but not originally from here. I've always liked my name and it hasn't hindered me in any way. In most cases I'm the only person with that name in any group. I would hate to be one of a dozen Evas or Ellas and have to be identified by my last initial or a physical characteristic.
To be fair to some of the previous posters a trip to the beach is often marked by someone yelling 'Bonnie!' and seeing a little dog run back to its owner.

@NameChange84 Annabel has been added to the short list. Annabel, Chloe, Isabella and Elsie are now the shortlist. Although thinking of dropping Elsie as not 100% on it.

I think Annabel is a Scottish name too. Might consider adding Annabel to the list.....

Bonnie is horrible, twee and a dog name imo. So if it were either or then I'd pick Skye. But, honestly, I feel like Skye is better left as a place name, it just doesn't sound great.

I actually really love the name Bonnie. Bonnie Langford is real Bonita, which means beautiful in Spanish.

I take it you are Scottish? A Scottish family I know went for Skyla because of the following conversation...

“What do you think of Skye?”

“Honestly. Not worth the money. We’ve tried it but got it taken out.”

“Eh?”

“Sky. You’re talking about Sky aren’t you? Now TV sometimes have good deals on Black Friday.”

Apparently similar conversations happened a few times so they went with Skyla nn Skye. Her sibilings are Iona, Logan and Ceilidh. Cousins Isla and Caledonia.

Skye is the dog from Paw Patrol. Cute name though. Maybe just for a child. I would not want to introduce myself as Skye now as an adult.

Bonnie is cute, but the only two I know are mentally ill adults.

Skye is beautiful, probably my favourite girls name. I didn't used to like Bonnie, but I know one (full name Bonita) and it suits her.
Skye is my favourite though.

Struggling to understand what relevance the song is.
