Just that really.

Anna is really common round here. Dd(10) has 3 in her class alone - and a Hannah so gets confusing. We've got 2 child Anna's on our street and I know of a good few others in DC's school. Possibly the most commonly occurring name there. I'd probably go with Annie although the one I know gets nicknamed orphan Annie all the time. I don't like Anne.

olympicsrock · 24/06/2020 07:06

My sister ( late 30s) is Anna but known to close friends and family as Annie.

Fifthtimelucky · 24/06/2020 06:51

Anne: lovely classic name. I think it's perfect as a middle name but a bit boring as a first name.

Annie: lovely as a nickname, but again wouldn't use as a first name. Would suit a child or elderly aunt, but in my opinion doesn't really work well for anyone aged 25-60

Anna: ticks all the boxes!

Zippetydoodahzippetyay · 24/06/2020 04:15

Anna. It's lovely.

octoberfarm · 24/06/2020 03:23

Anna, with the nickname Annie, for me!

birdy124 · 24/06/2020 00:17

Annie it's so cute Grin. Maybe Anne as full name and Annie as nickname?

riotlady · 23/06/2020 23:57

Anna! So classic

Nellydean21 · 23/06/2020 23:46

Anna.

rooarsome · 23/06/2020 23:46

Anna is timeless and classic

TheySentMePepsiNotCoke · 23/06/2020 23:45

Where I live, Annie is really popular. Every primary class has at least one, if not two or even three! So I'd go with Anna.

Nihiloxica · 23/06/2020 23:40

Anne

Anna is so boring and overused.

resm · 23/06/2020 23:34

Anna definitely!

CRISPSWARS · 23/06/2020 22:41

Anna - every time!

The other two just make me think of horse-face Princess Anne, or Little Orphan Annie.

Anna is perfect.

MikeUniformMike · 17/06/2020 19:43

Ann no e. Maybe nn Annie.

I like Anna but it's more popular.

Starbuggy · 17/06/2020 19:25

Anna definitely. You can always call her Annie affectionately

daisypond · 17/06/2020 12:53

Annabelle is awful. Annabel is better, but still not as stylish and classy as Anna.

RJ25 · 17/06/2020 12:41

How about Annabelle? Then you/ your little girl can choose whether she wants to go by Anna, Annie or Anne. X

Cbeebiesrehab · 17/06/2020 11:46

Adore Annie!

spiderlight · 17/06/2020 11:27

I'm an Ann (standard spelling in Wales) and have always wished I'd been called Anna instead. It's much prettier and feels classic, whereas Ann is boring.

I'm an Anne and don't really like it. I think it's bland and dated. I'd much rather be called Anna. Somehow the difference of one letter makes it more elegant somehow.

Mummyshark2018 · 17/06/2020 09:37

Annie

xmummy2princesx · 17/06/2020 08:57

Annie!

Pixielou16 · 17/06/2020 08:56

Anna.

worstwitch18 · 17/06/2020 08:41

Anne or Anna - both are nice. Anne more traditional in my opinion - that can be good or bad depending on your opinion.

Annie is more of a nickname.
