DH thinks it is. I don’t.

Also what other names might we like if we like Arthur?

I wouldn’t say it’s old man at all. It’s lovely.

Horehound · 14/06/2020 20:28

I know a 5 year old called Arthur and a baby, I think it,s cute.

Horehound · 14/06/2020 19:51

I don't care if it's popular but I have an Arthur and he really suits it!

clary · 14/06/2020 19:49

I know a 21yo called Arthur...and a number of small children aged between 1yo and 6yo, maybe about four if them.

I think the 21yo's patents were ahead of the curve!

I love Arthur, I also like:

Albert
Stanley
Frederick
Wilfred
Harold
George
Edwin

@AncientandPregnant
I do know of a Theo where I live, never met him personally though. His name is Theo though not Theodore.

ShinyFootball · 14/06/2020 16:25

I know a few young Arthurs, is come around again.

Agree with others who say both!

MargotB7 · 14/06/2020 16:23

Why are people saying it's not an old man's name? It is both.

Quizeerascal · 14/06/2020 14:14

It would suit an old man or a boy or a teenager I think.

katherine332 · 14/06/2020 14:10

I don't think Arthur is an old man's name. I love Arthur as a boy's name. I have 2 girls but if i ever have a boy i would name him Arthur.

RuthW · 14/06/2020 10:33

No it's a young child's name. Very popular in under fives.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 14/06/2020 09:39

Theodore, Edward, Oscar, Oliver and Sebastians a plenty here in London!

MargotB7 · 14/06/2020 09:24

I know a young Arthur named after his Great Granded who is still alive. So both.

Aurorie11 · 14/06/2020 09:21

It's my 80 yr old FIL name, so yes

AncientandPregnant · 14/06/2020 09:19

@sweetnosugar it’s interesting you don’t know any Theodores. There are so very many little Theos around here!
