Yes, its fashionable with out being over used.

mamablondie2 · 28/06/2020 20:15

I love it! Was our boys choice but I have girls. It’s classic but not boring. Great namesake (the scientist) and biblical without being too ‘religious’. I think it’s great x

grufallosfriends · 28/06/2020 20:05

I don't like it at all. Sounds so harsh and like I suck.

Libmama · 28/06/2020 18:22

I have an Isaac!! He’s more commonly called Ikey though but he’s still only little, I imagine it will get shortened to Ike as he gets older.

helpasisout · 26/06/2020 00:25

great name, I like it too

Kote · 16/06/2020 00:21

Love it! My favourite boys name

Giganticshark · 16/06/2020 00:18

Yuuuuuuuk. Big nay.
Issy! Ha

Sojo88 · 15/06/2020 23:55

Love it

SierraHotel · 15/06/2020 23:54

My godson is Isaac. He's the only one I've met, he's 4.

SephrinaX · 15/06/2020 23:45

I Love it. Was my top boy name choice, until DH best friend unknowingly nabbed it first!

Ducky1900 · 15/06/2020 23:30

@Grufallosfriends yes!
A few people spell it like this for my son and its really annoying!!

Ducky1900 · 15/06/2020 23:30

My little boy is Isaac, I love it.
Haven't come across any other Isaacs so far.
Mh OH chose it, and love that it means 'he who laughs'
We don't abbreivate his name but I can imagine he may well be Zach as he gets older and has a choice in a NN.... Which I think is a pretty cool NN.

CharlieBoo · 14/06/2020 22:29

One in my daughters year 6 class.. I’m not a fan

Grufallosfriends · 14/06/2020 13:32

I also think people might misspell it as Issac.

Grufallosfriends · 14/06/2020 13:29

I don't like the sound at all, sorry. I can imagine kids teasing with 'I suck'. There are far nicer names imo

overandunder9 · 14/06/2020 13:12

I’ve taught a few. All been known as ‘I suck’. Sorry.

userabcname · 14/06/2020 12:51

I love it! I have one so biased. People in our area tend to pronounce it as 'I - Zak' so it doesn't really sound like I suck.

sweetnosugar · 14/06/2020 12:08

DaisyPond - I do apologise, they are both spelt Isaac. Should have proof read before I posted.

hopingtobedally · 14/06/2020 09:22

Will get called Isaac Hunt when older

TeetotalKoala · 14/06/2020 09:21

I love it. I wanted to name DS1 Isaac, but j couldn't get DH to agree.

GuyFawkesDay · 14/06/2020 09:20

The bad spelling is annoying.

I have an Isaac. He's not had any problems based on people saying I suck.

I've taught a few too. It's definitely become more popular recently. Lots more tiny Isaacs than large ones!

daisypond · 14/06/2020 09:17

A lady in the local mother and baby group has a 7 month year old called Issac,
Is it spelled like that?

sweetnosugar · 14/06/2020 09:08

A lady in the local mother and baby group has a 7 month year old called Issac, unfortunately I also know a 9 year old with it who does get teased often. The lady I know has debated changing her sons name for this reason. So be mindful, it’s not the first time I’ve heard of Issac’s getting teased with the ‘I suck’ comment. Children can be mean.

Whatsyourflava · 14/06/2020 08:55

Love love love it
Don't know any Isaacs
Think a friend of a friend may have a son with this name but that's all

Chocolatecake12 · 14/06/2020 08:46

Love it Wink
But then I’m biased! My ds13 gets a variety of spellings but other than that no problems.
