We like classic style names for boys that are known but rarely used. Teachers, and all Mumsnetters, can you help with some suggestions that you've rarely heard of please but still have the same qualities as names like:

William
Edward
Elliot
Gabriel
Thomas
Alexander

... but hopefully less popular.

Christian and Christopher - there were lots of both of these when I was at school but I don't think we have any in the 800 boys at the school I currently work at.

Wilfred Henry Noah Jonah
Noah is actually quite common. I had two Noah's in one Reception class a couple of years before I retired.

I have only taught a dozen or so boys over the last 5 years with an "English" name, I teach in an area with practically no White British children, so my responses may not be typical!
I haven't had any boys named James, Matthew, Andrew or Richard in a long time.
I do currently teach a little Barry, don't imagine there's many of those about...

These classic names used to be common but have all but disappeared (I was a teacher but retired 5 years ago so there might have been a resurgence in some of them).

John
Richard
David
Gary
Jonathan
Barry
Kenneth
Brian
Vincent
Patrick

There are probably a lot more that will come to me later,
