Frankie's sister - suggestions please!

I have a Francesca who is always known as Frankie, so really I'm looking for something that goes nicely with Frankie.

I really like Penny but DP has vetoed it because Frankie and Penny sounds like Frankie and Benny's! Grin But I feel like Frankie and Penny have a similar vibe as names.

I don't love anything else, but am considering:

Elsie (Elisabeth)
Josie/Joey (Josephine)
Georgie/Jorgie (Georgina)
Margot

I also love Beatrice/Bea, Madeleine/Maddie and Matilda/Mattie but DP says no. I like Isabella but can't use it for family reasons.

I'd love some suggestions for good names to go with Frankie. We're at the 11th hour now and still stuck.

Eliza goes lovely with this name maybe with a longer middle name if on its own or could be short for Elizabeth

Biased but this is my name and my sister's name is Georgina so I'd say that's my favourite 😂

AragornsManlyStubble · 11/06/2020 09:03

I vote Josephine NN Joey. But I love typically boyish names on girls and think Joey is nicer than Georgie.

Thanks for all the replies, some interesting and useful suggestions here.

Frankie and Georgie. I think you need another unisex name. Frankie may not thank you for giving her sister a more feminine arguably prettier name.

This an interesting perspective, as I'd been worried about having two unisex names, in case it seemed a bit like I had really wanted a boy. What I loved about Frankie/Francesca is that to me, the name Frankie has a bit of attitute and sounds fun, spirited, but with a longer, feminine alternative if it didn't suit her or she hated it when older.

I have Francesca (Frankie) and Alexandra (Alex), both long feminine names shortened to gender neutral names.

I met a baby Georgie once. She was only about a week old. Her dad hold of her. I'm one of them I see anything cute. I have to go over and coo. Grin It wasn't short for anything Georgie was her full name.
. I thought It was lovely.

@onabeachsomewhere - how lovely

Had I been able to have another ( if girl ) Stella would have been it ( or maybe Celia ) but Stella I think is a fantastic name

Otherwise if another boy it would have been John - not trendy , not out there but just nice Grin
