Rosamund?

I see a lot of love for names beginning with Rose/Rosa and I'm wondering what everyone's opinions are on this name.

I really like the nn Rosie and I feel Rosamund is a beautiful option and slightly different to the more usual Rosalind, Rose, Rosa, etc. I also don't mind the connection with Rosamund Pike as she'a a very talented and beautiful woman so I quite like it even!

Any thoughts? xx

Never ever heard rose-a-mund either, only ever ros-a-mund.

I've never heard it pronounced Rose-amund. It's Ros-amund.

I like it and it has a lovely meaning. I like all of the Rose names.

Love it.

We went for one of the other 'Rose' names for DD.

The only reason we didn't go for Rosamund was the difference in pronunciation (Roz-amund vs. Rose-amund) where we had a definite preference, and knew she'd be correcting people her whole life.

I love it so much. Would have used it but DH said no.

wowfudge · 07/06/2020 23:25

It's a lovely name.

I much prefer Rosalind and it's really not very widely used either.
