@nsalat I’ve always liked this name. Timeless imo and due a revival. Nice that it’s known but not overused now

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/06/2020 00:55

It's classic and timeless, but very blah.

SionnachRua · 07/06/2020 00:40

Nope! It's so boring - another wallpaper name like Olivia.

123Dancewithme · 06/06/2020 23:15

I don’t like it but that’s because I’ve never met a nice Amy. I was even bullied by two different Amys at different schools!

elfran · 06/06/2020 18:11

I like Amy; to me it's not time-stamped (though it was popular in the 70s/80s), and I think of it as simple and wholesome in an all American way- think Little Women.

Awkes · 06/06/2020 18:08

My name too! Always liked it because it couldn’t be shortened and nice and easy (I’m an Amy). Also it was popular in the 90’s when I was born. Had another Amy in my class and I have a friend now also an Amy but I’ve never met anyone not my age called Amy so think you’re good bringing it back now

Amymone · 06/06/2020 17:54

I like it...I am one. But please spell it Amy! Mine has one of the more unusual spellings and I spend my life spelling it out for people and, in the past few years, explaining that my name isn't pronounced 'Ammy'. V frustrating! I'd change it but that would be a bit of a weird one identity-wise!

mortforya · 06/06/2020 17:50

Sorry op, I know about 9 Amy's and one is as boring as the next, it was way overdone on 90,s and now, I find it a settled name, that purple just settle on as not wow or not unique, yaaawwnnnn, all my friends dislike the name too as we only discussed it the other day

AnnaSW1 · 06/06/2020 17:45

I like it

Ingridla · 06/06/2020 17:45

Don't like

SallyWD · 06/06/2020 17:39

Classic, timeless.

17caterpillars1mouse · 06/06/2020 17:31

Love it, I prefer the spelling Aimee though as it just looks more complete to me and I prefer a longer name

bridgetreilly · 06/06/2020 17:25

I would pronounce Aimee differently (Ay-may). I think Amy is actually much prettier than Aimee.

AcrobaticCardigan · 06/06/2020 17:25

I think it’s a bit boring & very dated (as in 80s/90s).

Enderthedragon · 06/06/2020 17:23

Yes, I really like it. It's timeless and a lovely name. It's ever so slightly on the dull/ubiquitous side, but I think part of that is because it's so timeless actually, it has stood the test of time. Not explaining myself very well there, but overall I like it Smile

WinWinnieTheWay · 06/06/2020 17:22

It's a bit dated as there were tonnes in the 70's and 80's.

It is pretty though.

PintOfGin · 06/06/2020 17:19

I like the sound of it but as a 90's baby there were so many Amys in my years at school , at least 2/3 in every class so It is a bit dated to me as it seemed to be an 'it' name along with the Katies, Gemma, Hannah, Kirsty ect.

Shaunthesheep34 · 06/06/2020 17:17

I love it, I prefer the Aimie spelling though.

Litthefirealready · 06/06/2020 17:16

I love it - prefer the spelling Amy

Greenkit · 06/06/2020 16:55

My dd is Amy (nickname Tink) ❤ so I love it

Mopani · 06/06/2020 16:54

Love the name Amy. Very cute for a baby and suits an adult as well. Timeless.

GRW · 06/06/2020 16:54

I like it and prefer the Amy spelling.

namechangeformeagain · 06/06/2020 16:52

I like it! I know an Aymi, which is a more unusual spelling. Amy and Aimee are probably safer to use though.

SoberCurious · 06/06/2020 16:51

Aimee is french so maybe a bit more chic?
Or maybe a but try hard if you are not french...?

SoberCurious · 06/06/2020 16:50

Love it.
Both spellings are nice.
