Sounds like the name of a horse to me... sorry.

CalmConfident · 04/06/2020 22:03

My cat was called Domino too @JoeExoticsPrinceAlbert

Windyatthebeach · 04/06/2020 22:02

Some areas use Minnie as a name for their fanjo..
Not a good idea either op..

HeyBlaby · 04/06/2020 22:01

I had a black and white horse called Domino, definitely not a human name, sorry.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 04/06/2020 22:00

Dominique?

CosmicVagina · 04/06/2020 21:59

I love it but then I love James Bond and would definitely use a character name.

Mesmeri · 04/06/2020 21:58

Dominique?

Lookatthat · 04/06/2020 21:54

How about Domini?

JoeExoticsPrinceAlbert · 04/06/2020 21:54

My best friends cat is called Domino

AgeLikeWine · 04/06/2020 21:53

Domino sounds like the last lap dancer’s stage name on the list after all the cool names like Madison or Krystal or Diamond had been taken Grin.

JorisBonson · 04/06/2020 21:53

Pizza.

Destroyedpeople · 04/06/2020 21:50

I was going to suggest 'dominica' but it does sound like 'dominatrix'...

diazapamdependent · 04/06/2020 21:48

Dominica is much better

KimberWozRobbed · 04/06/2020 21:47

I used to work with a Dominica known as Minnie. I always liked it.

MrsKipling16 · 04/06/2020 21:44

HeavyDuty I went to school with a Domini - lends itself to the shortening Minnie too.

CherryPavlova · 04/06/2020 21:40

No. I know there Dominoes. They’re all Dalmatians.

namechange5575 · 04/06/2020 21:38

I was thinking, make it feminine? Domina? But then that sounds like dominatrix, so an additional tick for unsuitability.

diazapamdependent · 04/06/2020 21:37

Pepperoni passion please!

bookmum08 · 04/06/2020 21:36

I did not know Minnie the Minx was actually called Hermione !!!!
Must Google this.....

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 04/06/2020 21:35

Are you giving birth to one of the X-men? If so, great!! If not...

Kittywampus · 04/06/2020 21:34

A bit obscure, but I knew this name from the movie 'El mariachi'. I quite like it, but I don't think it works very well in the UK, as the above responses show.

HeavyDeuty · 04/06/2020 21:34

Destroyedpeople You might find that once your child has this name..everyone will follow you in quick succession..

teehee

Lol! I'm enjoying your responses! I do quite like Minnie (my childhood love of Minnie the Minx has left a mark, though I'm aware her full name is Hermione), but it just isn't a full name to me. I enjoy the sound of Domino, though I appreciate lots of people will think of pizza...not a great association! Hadn't heard of the link with the vulva...also definitely not a great one!

Maybe more of a guilty pleasure than an actual contender then! Clementine is a contender. I like names you don't hear all the time, but I also don't want to pick something for the sake of being different.

But seriously no. It sounds like a dog or a pony.

JoeExoticsEyebrowRing · 04/06/2020 21:27

I'm not a huge fan of Minnie either to be honest - for me it's either Mouse or a twee name for your vulva!
