Hi everyone I’m due in October with my first born! Me and my boyfriend have agreed we love the name Eden but are really struggling for a middle name. The surname is Smith. Names we like is Talia, Brielle and Renee but feel they don’t flow nicely with the first and last name. Please help and send me some suggestions. Thank you!! :)

I agree with Edenember that a three- or four-syllable name will give your DD's name a good rhythm and flow. How about:

Eden Rosalind
Eden Virginia
Eden Cordelia
Eden Susanna
Eden Alexandra
Eden Jessamine
Eden Gabrielle
Eden Victoria
Eden Romola
Eden Amaryllis

Sorry OP, I don't think your DD will thank you for Renee. It's not a name that comes across well in English. Eden is beautiful, tho, and goes really well with Smith. It has a lovely simplicity, which is all the more reason to be as flamboyant as you like with the middle name.

Eden Autumn Smith
Eden Azalea Smith
Eden Aphra Smith
Eden Emese Smith (Hungarian - pronounced eh-meh-sha)
Eden Orpah Smith
Eden Eulalia Smith
Eden Rosina Smith
Eden Rosabelle Smith
Eden Rosalia Smith

I feel a longer syllable count adds nice rhythm between the 2 short names, think maybe a vowel sound at the start is better and best not to end in an s sound (I.e Rose) as it rolls into Smith. Tons of options though xx

Eden Renee is lovely x

I agree with @Awwlookatmybabyspider, if it’s pronounced Re-Nay I think it goes well as a middle name, but not so much if it’s pronounced Ren-ee.

I agree with @Charlieandthechocolatecake

A former colleague of mine had a wee girl.a few years ago and called her Eden Rose. I remember her saying that Rose is just a middle name but that the wee one could decide to be known as Eden or Eden Rose when she's older.
I think single syllable names are lovely regardless of surname.

Windyatthebeach · 01/06/2020 16:46

The only one I know of is Eden Molly..

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/06/2020 16:45

If Renee is to be pronounced as R-nay. I th ink it goes perfect with Eden and Smith.
