Those who hate it, what names are similar? I like the X and potential nicknames - Hux, Huck etc

It's a surname and a place. And a children's TV pig in the 90s.

It sounds more like a name for a dog to be honest - I can see a lovely golden retriever being called Huxley.
But this is why I'd never ask anyone's opinions on baby names as everyone will think something different and it might put you off. If you like it, go for it! Smile

RaininSummer · 01/06/2020 13:59

I have never met any children called this but it did bring the Huxley Pig character to mind.

sawollya · 01/06/2020 13:58

Ps, What were that Youtuber's other children called? I've a feeling that Huxley fits in with American trends (which come this direction to a degree) so it won't be 'rare'.

tellmesomethingreal · 01/06/2020 13:57

Sadly Aldous sounds terrible with our surname!!

OP posts:
sawollya · 01/06/2020 13:56

It's the name of that little boy that the youtuber ''re homed'' so that's why it's being talk about now,

I prefer Aldous!

sweetnosugar · 01/06/2020 13:55

I don’t think the name will always be associated with that you tuber! If you like it go for it. I personally don’t know anyone called Huxley.

tellmesomethingreal · 01/06/2020 13:53

Yes it's the name of the boy, such an awful horrible story that makes me furious and heartbroken at the same time. I'm hoping it wouldn't always be associated with that though?

Isn’t Huxley the name of the little boy that a you tuber just “rehomed” after adopting him from China?

It’s a lovely name OP, but what a sad story as above

NuffSaidSam · 01/06/2020 13:31

I think it will depend a lot on area as well. I think like a lot of 'cool' names Huxley's popularity will be area based.

NuffSaidSam · 01/06/2020 13:29

I can't see it getting massively popular, but agree it is on an upward trend.
