Need to decide on a name today as it’s doing my head in partner is being difficult need opinions, my baby is of mixed heritage so I think all these names suit him help please

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Alexsay · 01/06/2020 14:40

I love Cassius and would choose it if my friends child didn't have the name already!

CaffiSaliMali · 01/06/2020 14:16

Cassius is the best of those 3 OP. It also goes well with your daughter's name.

However is your DP is still wanting Christopher or Alexander?

You've had some new suggestions on your last thread as well like Ezra and I made a few too Smile

FizzyGreenWater · 01/06/2020 14:01

Cassius!

Lovely. And your surname if he so much as says a word OP.

lockdownbreakdown · 01/06/2020 13:36

Cassius is a fabulous name. After Muhamed Ali. Way better than the other two names.

MikeUniformMike · 01/06/2020 13:30

Ishiah will get mixed up with Isiah, and I think it is normally written Ishia. Whatever, I'm not keen.

Tareyon - is it one you made up or is it from GoT or something? I'm not sure how to say it.

Cassius - good strong name.

peachgreen · 01/06/2020 13:06

After - what - four threads? five? I think I'm as keen for this child to be named as you are!

Cassius is the best of those three options. Is Ishiah pronounced the same was as Isaiah? It's a nice name though I think you'll encounter spelling issues. Tareyon still sounds like a rejected Game of Thrones name and besides, doesn't your partner hate it?

SiriusVServeus · 01/06/2020 13:05

I love Cassius and also Isaiah. Two of my favourite names.

Peachbubble · 01/06/2020 12:57

I'd choose Cassius

Miriel · 01/06/2020 12:56

Cassius sounds best.

Charlieandthechocolatecake · 01/06/2020 12:54

My little brother is called Cassius. He is genuinely one of the nicest boys I know.

villamariavintrapp · 01/06/2020 12:53

Cassius. But I don't like made up names. Is tareyon pronounced like carry on? But with a t. And ishiah like ishy-a?

JustAnotherMumTho · 01/06/2020 12:41

Cassius

PerditaProvokesEnmity · 01/06/2020 12:34

It's not the sound of a name that brings strength but its associations.

If you're wanting something that might be helpful on a CV think about who has life easy in your locality. In the U.K.

Charles/Charlie
William
George
Louis

might be good bets. (Though who can see into the future?) Maybe avoid

Boris
Dominic ...

seriousandloyal · 01/06/2020 12:31

Prefer Cassius

AgeLikeWine · 01/06/2020 12:28

@ChardonnaysPetDragon

Cassius, wasn’t there a boxer called that?
Cassius Clay was the birth name of Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in history, and an iconic global celebrity in the 1970s. He changed his name when he converted to Islam.
IVflytrap · 01/06/2020 12:23

Cassius is the strongest sounding. It's unusual while still being recognisable.

PetraRabbit · 01/06/2020 11:46

Cassius. Good strong Roman name. Very nice! The others sound a bit made up.

YouAndMeAndTheDevilMakesThree · 01/06/2020 11:34

Cassius

Orphlids · 01/06/2020 11:33

Cassius is the best. Unusual, but established. Good Roman name, strong associations.

Tareyon - I wouldn’t know how to pronounce it. There are so many possibilities: Tarry-on, Ta-ray-on, Tair-yon... I think some people might make negative assumptions, I’m afraid, because it sounds as though you’ve just made it up.

Isaiah has a nice sound, but it’s not as manly as Cassius.

Egora · 01/06/2020 11:29

I lobe Cassius, very strong sounding name.

Isiah is nice too but you'll have spelling issues.

megrichardson · 01/06/2020 11:28

Isaiah always reminds me of that stupid joke:
'why is he called Isaiah?

  • because one eye's higher than the other'
megrichardson · 01/06/2020 11:26

Cassius is nice

Talcott2007 · 01/06/2020 11:25

Cassius is my favorite = easy to pronounce and nice sound to it.
Tareyon - never heard of if before and therefore but gives also sorts of Game of Thrones/ trying to be 'You-Neek' Vibes. Wouldn't know immediately how to pronounce it.
Ishiah - Recognise the name and would assume it's your most 'common/popular' out of the 3 option but again wouldn't immediately how to pronounce it.

pinkpinecone · 01/06/2020 11:18

Cassius is great

Mish85 · 01/06/2020 10:51

Tareyon sounds the strongest I think, very cool name..
