Looking for a classic name for James' little sister to be.
Comments welcome. I like these two and underused I think?

Julia definitely, it never ages

bridgetreilly · 23/05/2020 23:12

Juliet is my preference.

Notso · 23/05/2020 23:10

I think Julia is much nicer than Juliet.

LotusClover · 23/05/2020 23:09

Juliet is much nicer and more timeless than Julia. But I prefer Lucia over both.

DramaAlpaca · 23/05/2020 23:08

Julia. I really love it and have only ever me one.

Juliet is lovely too, but only when it's pronounced JOOLyet.

I don't like the jooliETT pronunciation unless you're using the French Juliette spelling. Shortening it to Ettie or Etta as a pp suggested would ruin a gorgeous name.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 23/05/2020 23:08

I much prefer Julia - think it is a beautiful name.

Not sure as it reminds me of that car- Alpha Romeo??

Julia 🌷

daisypond · 23/05/2020 22:55

Julia, by preference.
I don’t dislike Juliet but it is a diminutive, so Little Julia. Better to go for the full name. You will also get different pronunciations of Juliet.

RuthW · 23/05/2020 22:54

Juliet as it can be shortened to Ettie or Etta.

Mangofandangoo · 23/05/2020 22:52

I think Juliet is beautiful Smile
