Hope

All the Lucas I know are boys 🤷🏻‍♀️

We're in a tricky position because I'm a teacher (sooo many associations with names) and my DHs family have so many kids already with names I would have chosen otherwise.

I appreciate Jack is quite common but I do quite like classic names and it won't age...

Why are names so tricky 😂

@alch13 it's strange because I'm a teacher and we don't have any Hopes, and didn't when I was at school either!

I dislike Jack because it's so boring, every character on television is called Jack or John (Jack O'Neil, Jack Bauer, John Sheppard, John Connor, John McClane....) it really feels as if that is the generic go-to name if you can't be bothered to actually pick something a bit more personable.

Luca is great though I prefer Lucas.

For the girls I'm not excited about either name but I'd go for Imogen.

Imogen as Hope is quite common, alot of the 'rougher kids' at my secondary school were named that.
And Luca as Jack is commonly associated as being a 'naughty childs name'.
