Love this name, but put off by the grandmas reactions, which have been to relentlessly suggest other names and query where this one has come from.

Baby due in a week and this is still my favourite, but is it a bit too out there?

Love Otto! We were between Otto and Milo for DS3, he’s ended up as Milo (mainly as he was born in Germany and they did not hold back in hospital when we suggested it was a possibility - it is NOT a popular name there!) but I’m still a bit gutted I didn’t use it!

Love the name Otto! We went for an unusual Germanic name for DS1, and my advice would be if you love the name enough that a few raised eyebrows or passive comments won't bother you, use the name and enjoy raising a little boy who is proud to be unique

I advise you not to discuss baby names with anyone other than your husband! People wouldn’t be rude about the name once the baby is here.
