Dc2 is due in two weeks and dh and I have decided on Michaela for a girl but aren’t for a boy. Could anyone shed some light on middle names and help pick an already hard to choose name!

OP has just updated with the actual name - Jude Matthew. Great choice and congratulations! Flowers

BeMorePacific · 23/05/2020 23:07

Jude Michael or Jude Matthew. Both great names xx

ButDoUAvocado · 22/05/2020 11:28

Congratulations Flowers

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 22/05/2020 11:27

Jude. No contest.

WhatOnFuckingEarth · 22/05/2020 11:07

Hello, quick update. Our handsome son Jude Matthew was born at 1:07 this morning weighing 5.5lb Smile

Jude.

Not keen on the other two at all but Jude is great.

FizzyGreenWater · 15/05/2020 20:52

How about Rory?

Kind of a mash up between Ryan and Corby which ends up being a far far niceer name than either! I love Rory - very outdoorsy.

Also love Jude though - that would be my choice.

Ryan is awful - feels really outdated. Corby TERRIBLE.

Staffori · 15/05/2020 02:04

'Jude Matthew or Michaela Raine'. Both wonderful choices - good luck OP.

Aclh13 · 14/05/2020 05:05

Ryan every Jude I knew was reither a girl or a snotty nosed naughty child. And for middle names idk Jame, Lee, Francis, Matthew, Joe?

Motherontheedge1 · 14/05/2020 01:16

Like Jude a lot for a boy or girl. My friend’s daughter hates her name Judith but everyone calls her Jude.

WhatOnFuckingEarth · 13/05/2020 22:24

Dh and I have our decision. Jude Matthew for a boy and Michaela Raine for a girl. Thank you for the brilliant suggestions Grin

Jude.

Ryan is very 1990s and should stay there. Corby just sounds made up.

Giganticshark · 13/05/2020 20:41

Not Corby.
Colby, Corey, Cody?

ButDoUAvocado · 13/05/2020 20:36

Hmm ok, Kane?

WhatOnFuckingEarth · 13/05/2020 20:11

@ButDoUAvocado Koby and Damon are nice but dh will go Kobe Bryant and Matt Damon Confused

@YinMnBlue Nathaniel is also cool, definitely adding to the ‘mention to dh’ list.

ButDoUAvocado · 13/05/2020 19:54

Koby? Damon?

I like Cody too, the only one I know is in the Navy.

WhatOnFuckingEarth · 13/05/2020 19:53

@Malysh Oooh like Cody, I will mention it to dh!

I have a Jude and Seth was on our list (OH can’t say his THs though-ruled it out) Go for Jude!

bookmum08 · 13/05/2020 19:51

PickleSarnie I prefer the Asda in Corby.
When we take the bus from Kettering to Corby it always goes past a road sign warning to look out for Badgers. I always shriek "BADGERS" when we pass it*
How about Badger for a name?
(Sorry OP I am assuming you don't know the town of Corby and why we are kinda talking the piss out of it)

*Apparently this is starting to be a 'bit embarrassing' !

Notso · 13/05/2020 19:47

Jude! Seth and Jude are lovely sibling names.

z0fl0ra · 13/05/2020 19:44

What about Thrapston? Raunds? Maybe Kettering? Hmm

Malysh · 13/05/2020 19:38

Damian's a great name ! My friend's son is called Damian and, while I didn't think of it for my son (born ten days before hers) I love it.

Corby... Well, you ruled it out. If you like this name though how about Cody ?

Between Ryan and Jude I think I like Ryan better, but I really think Damian is the name I love the most. Classy and not too common. If it wasn't already taken I'd consider it for DS2.

VerityB1 · 13/05/2020 19:32

Love Jude Barnaby

Hagisonthehill · 13/05/2020 19:32

I hate Corby but faced with Damien I'd back it every time.
