Hi All,

We’re lucky enough to be expect a baby boy in a few weeks. We’re struggling to commit to a name, we both love the name Rowan but I’m a little scared that people think this is a girls name more than a boys. Can I get your opinions please? Do any of you know a boy Rowan at the moment?

I think it's a fine name for a boy or a girl. I would stick with it.

@Butterfly20201 I know a gorgeous baby boy Rowan, only one I know. I think this name fits either gender equally well.

All the Rowan's I know are boys. It's a lovely name 😊

A friend of ours had a boy Rowan about 3 months ago. I’d always thought it was OK but it’s grown on me since they had him - a lovely nature name. Smile

The only other Rowan I know is a woman in her late 20s.

I've always thought of Rowan as a boys name (same, Atkinson)- I do however love it as a girls name also- definitely a unisex name, but lovely all the same (congrats btw and all the best on welcoming your new arrival! Flowers)

I am a teacher and the Rowans we have are all boys

I don't know any but my immediate thought is that it's a girl's name.
But had forgotten Rowan Atkinson.

I prefer Rowan for a girl but I think it is unisex. I definitely wouldn’t be surprised to see it on a boy.
