Verbena.
I think that it's quite nice.

There's an actress called Honeysuckle Weeks. I really don't like it as a name though.

Jasmine is (mainstream but) gorgeous.

Verbena just makes me think of shower gel from L'Occitane. It's not a bad association, but I dont think of it as a person's name.

I quite like Verbena, I would pronounce it as Ver-been-ah. Nn Beanie. Does sound a little like a font as pp mentioned!

My guilty pleasure names are Acacia, Azalea and Azura. Not a fan of Verbena, it sounds like a Microsoft Word font.

Ooh, never heard that about French names.
Colleagues pronounced Anemone with an ee at the end, but I can't vouch that this was her preference.

Azalea I do rather like! It's been lowdown on my list for ages. Verbena just makes me think of Ribena. Maybe because "bena" is such a strong but not particularly common sound.

Did she pronounce it to rhyme with lemon though? I know that with Penelope and Hermione they don't pronounce the E at the end so it becomes Penneh-lop and Ermy-own. It's funny, most names sound nicer in French but those ones sound terrible!

Yes, Azalea is great.
I recently worked with a French lady called Anemone.
I found that a bit of a mouthful.
