I really love this name. What do other people think?

I like it.

pinkpinecone · 07/05/2020 20:53

Ah good point if that's the case @JKScot4

JKScot4 · 07/05/2020 20:47

My point is that if they’re not, the name will not suit 🤣

pinkpinecone · 07/05/2020 20:39

@JKScot4 Nothing wrong with being dark and from the Adriatic it's a beautiful part of the world. The issue is that most people associate the name Hadrian with a massive wall.

JamieLeeCurtains · 07/05/2020 19:49

What's wrong with being dark and of the Adriatic?

JKScot4 · 07/05/2020 19:08

OP, it means dark and of the Adriatic, not the best connotation tbf

ElectricTonight · 07/05/2020 19:06

Adrian is better.

DoTheNextRightThing · 07/05/2020 18:14

I like Adrian a lot - but I'm not keen on Hadrian.

finallychangedmyusername · 07/05/2020 18:09

I like Hadrian, but think you might get a lot of people hearing "Adrian" (which I also like).

pinkpinecone · 07/05/2020 18:03

Wall

LotusClover · 07/05/2020 11:40

No matter where you live in the UK, Hadrian's Wall will be everyone's first association. The name itself isn't even nice, it sounds poncey to me, and he will have a lifetime of being called Adrian.

ofwarren · 07/05/2020 01:55

Much nicer than Adrian

NotNowPlzz · 07/05/2020 01:44

Love it.

Wheresthebiffer2 · 07/05/2020 01:38

Surprisingly I do like it. But immediate association is ...as in the wall.

Nanalisa60 · 06/05/2020 23:35

Well it’s different!! And original!!
Don’t think there will be another in his class or his school!!
Of course you do realise his nickname will be The Wall!!

Coronacantcope · 06/05/2020 23:31

I know a Hadrian, never thought his name was that big a deal tbh, I like it.

TimeWastingButFun · 06/05/2020 23:25

To be totally honest it sounds like a pseudo posh person trying to say 'Adrian'...

Choccyp1g · 06/05/2020 23:08

How about Offa ?

NameChange84 · 06/05/2020 23:08

Can’t un-hear “Wall” straight afterwards.

Much prefer Hayden or Adrian.

Difficultcustomer · 06/05/2020 23:05

Too much association with the wall if you will be in the UK.

TeetotalKoala · 06/05/2020 23:00

It does remind me of Hadrian’s Wall, but maybe if you don’t live near it, people won’t immediately make that association?

I live many hundreds of miles south of said wall. It was my first association.

Hamish?

ErrolTheDragon · 06/05/2020 22:58

I am obviously the only one hearing it in a Hyacinth Bucket saying Adrian in a trying to be posh voice.

No, you're not.

It does remind me of Hadrian’s Wall, but maybe if you don’t live near it, people won’t immediately make that association?

Yes, they will.

DramaAlpaca · 06/05/2020 22:58

Adrian - yes
Hadrian - no

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 06/05/2020 22:54

No Really don't like it

Not my DS though.
Hayden is nicer
Not keen on Adrian either . Always sounds a bit wet to me.

I agree with uber-pretentious.
