Boys: Sullivan, Elliot, Archer, Harvey and Hayes

Girls: Lyla/Lylah, Amélie, Nora, Eliot and Joie

@SarahTTCx I think as time goes on no one would mishear Melody for Elodie. I looked into the official statistics on another recent thread - the name Melody is practically extinct now. Elodie is wayyyy higher up the charts. I think it will be the other way round - a future "Melody" would continually be called "Elodie"

missmouse101 · 07/05/2020 15:52

Cassia, Hebe, Fern, Sasha, Tamsin
Adam, Jasper, Kit, Solomon, Sebastian

Whatsyourflava · 07/05/2020 15:49

I'm the same @SpicedCamomile
Totally agree with you

Whatsyourflava · 07/05/2020 15:48

@SarahTTCx if you like Kit but think it might raise eyebrows, it's a nickname for Christopher so you could have that as the official name but call him Kit day to day - just an idea.
I love the name Sarah by the way

SarahTTCx · 07/05/2020 15:19

@SpicedCamomile haha Sarah is my name! Didn't think you were sucking up don't worry. It's funny, my name was very popular when I was young (I was one of 5 Sarah's in my year at school) and then nobody younger than me seemed to be Sarah! It does seem to be making a come back though, i've seen lot's of people with it in their lists on here!

Mason
Harrison
George
Grayson
Tommy

SpicedCamomile · 07/05/2020 14:47

@SarahTTCx I wasn’t allowed Teddy as DH has Edward as a middle name and doesn’t like it! We did use James though.
I hadn’t realised when I put my girls names that Sarah is in your user name - I don’t know if that’s your real name of course but I wasn’t trying to suck up Grin. It was super popular when I was younger (five in my school year) so I didn’t really consider it as a favourite name then but now I realise how much I like it and guess it was popular for a reason!

SarahTTCx · 07/05/2020 14:15

@SpicedCamomile I love James! I'm usually more drawn towards slughtly less common names but James is one of those classics that i've always loved and probably always will! It may even make a middle name if I can convince OH (he thinks it is boring). Also love Teddy but I worry it's getting a little too popular at the moment with the wrong kind of people (not trying to sound snobby).

OP posts:
SarahTTCx · 07/05/2020 14:13

@Whatsyourflava I quite like Kit but I don't think it would get the nod of approval from OH or our parents unfortunately! Nice name though!

@BreastedBoobilyToTheStairs yay Archer! I don't see many others saying they like it! Also, I love Elodie, it's so pretty sounding! But I hate the name Melody and I worry people would think that was the name when introduced so for that reason I had to veto from my list!

OP posts:
SpicedCamomile · 07/05/2020 11:55

@Pantheon I think you may have commented on the wrong thread, I can't see any comments on here about disliking a child or their behaviour?

@whatausername I've always loved Tessa (and similarly Stella) but feel they don't work where I live! Especially Stella since I live in Stella haha!

OP posts:
whatausername · 07/05/2020 10:26

Polly, Harriet, Kiera, Tessa, Antonia

Isaiah, Marcus, Qasim, Cathal, Arjun (also like this for a girl so really it's a sneaky alternate!)

All of these are subject to change within the week or even the day...I love the history and creativity of names.

Pantheon · 07/05/2020 10:23

That's really unkind. There's a big difference between saying you don't like a child's behaviour - hitting or biting or something - and saying you don't like them as a person. That's fundamentally who they are. Very damaging. And if it's some kind of personality clash, still no need to say anything, surely.

ChnandlerBong · 07/05/2020 09:40

@SarahTTCx

dd would have been Nina but ds (not George!) was 2 at the time and fixated with fire engines aka nee-naas so it would have just been too confusing all round!

SarahTTCx · 06/05/2020 19:06

@ChnandlerBong George and Nina are gorgeous, they'd be lovely sibling names!

@Edenember Zachary and Erika are so lovely! Zachary was always really high on my list then a close friend named her little boy Zachary so I scrapped it!

@BatleyTownswomensGuild I love Owen but my OH just won't go for it no matter how hard I try! Also a big fan of Alice, it's quite likely that would be a middle name if we had a girl as it was also my great grans name! I love the sound of Lyla Alice with our surname!

OP posts:
BatleyTownswomensGuild · 06/05/2020 16:26
