Claudia Mariella ! much prettier

Whatsyourflava · 04/05/2020 17:37

Yes I think I commented on another thread, meaning of Claudia is lame and meaning of Claude is stuttering or lame
It's an ok name but not a favourite

BeMoreZenLike · 04/05/2020 17:25

Love claudia

Grufallosfriends · 04/05/2020 17:01

Haven't read the whole thread so apologies if already mentioned, but the Latin meaning of Claudia (Claudus) is disabled/lame. Not a nice meaning unfortunately.

Isabel90 · 04/05/2020 16:56

Nice :)

DH also likes Francesca as well as Frances. I prefer Frances for the two syllable mn. Seems to work well

@milienhaus I like Frances for a mn too! Two classic names together!

I really like a PPs suggestion of Frances for a middle name! No issues with the alliteration and I think Claudia is very cute.

LotusClover · 03/05/2020 16:09

Yes, Claudia is the perfect example of a name that works just as well on a young child as an adult. It's not too cutesy but still classic and pretty like you said.

Pemba · 03/05/2020 16:01

A shorter middle name would flow much better IMO. Up to you obvs!

Scenesofprime · 03/05/2020 15:36

@babasaclover that's a lovely suggestion, thank you. The only thing is I have a Marcia in the family that I wouldn't want to think baby was named after. Marcella is gorgeous though!

babasaclover · 03/05/2020 15:32

Love it. How about Claudia Marcella Cutling

Scenesofprime · 03/05/2020 15:25

Do you think it would work on a baba as well as a child into adulthood? I think it's strong and still feminine and classic. Cute nn Claudie when she's little too. I really love it!

Scenesofprime · 03/05/2020 15:18

Claudia seems to be the only name that we both like so I'm happy with the feedback thus far. Thanks all

Very nice and elegant and I also like the alliteration! Faye is fine, also quite classy, flows well and a lot more interesting than May.

LotusClover · 03/05/2020 13:09

I don't like alliterative names but this one isn't too bad. I love the name Claudia too.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 03/05/2020 12:47

I love names that have alliteration like Meghan Markle etc.

worstwitch18 · 03/05/2020 12:02

It's got a good ring to it.

Ilovecats14 · 03/05/2020 11:25

I like it. It has a lovely ring to it, it sounds like an important person's name.

Koddii · 03/05/2020 11:04

I like it and like the middle name too.

123Dancewithme · 03/05/2020 11:01

I love alliterative names. Claudia Cutling sounds great.

motheroreily · 03/05/2020 10:50

Claudia is lovely. It was our first choice but my partner didn't like the meaning. But it's a nice name and quite uncommon these days so if you like it go for it 😊

Scenesofprime · 03/05/2020 10:32

Thank you for the help so far. I'm glad lots like the alliterative name.

Claudia Jasmine
Claudia Phoebe
Claudia Posey
Claudia Ruby
Claudia Willow

I have always thought Claudia a lovely, gracious name. If you wanted something a bit like Faye it could be

Claudia Mae Cutling

But I don't know about Mae. Or May. Names starting with M are often warm. Like Mia.
