Hi

Looking for a nice classy girls name.

Popularity doesn’t bother me, but just looking for something classy and elegant.

I like Arabella and Charlotte.

My husband likes Emily and Sarah.

Any suggestions? And your thoughts about my current list?

Thanks everyone

I really don’t think Madison, Leighanne or Nicolette are that ‘classy’.

Someone up thread mentioned Jocasta...that's a by word for a woman who has a sexual obsession with her son (Jocasta complex) so ...maybe avoid 😂😂

Littleshortcake · 03/05/2020 00:18

I always think of the Thomas the Tank train character names as classy.

Also saint names.

For a girl I really like Anna

going by work colleagues and my children's schoolmates (local secondary), Emily and Charlotte are two of the commonest girls' names in the UK for the last 35 years! Darcey is on a par with Chardonnay....

Are there really kids nowadays called Araminta and Candida? Poor little sods!

Dailyjunglegrind · 02/05/2020 22:57

Charlotte after shortened to Lotte often
Arabella to Ella/Bella
Nick names do bear heavily on the decision
