Classy names

Looking for a nice classy girls name.

Popularity doesn’t bother me, but just looking for something classy and elegant.

I like Arabella and Charlotte.

My husband likes Emily and Sarah.

Any suggestions? And your thoughts about my current list?

Not keen on Arabella. Love Emily, Isabella, Rose, Florence , Grace. All timeless, I think.

I'm guessing the opposite of a 'classy' name (ie these wannabe middle class 'my daughter is speeeecial') names e. G araminta/octavia /serephina is the bottom of the rung lower class people and what they name their kids e. G dexter, koby, chanel, daizee-rae, Ellie-mae, Tyler, jayden, kayden, mackenzie. Personally I prefer timeless and normal that aren't too common. Louis, Samuel, Liam, niall. Madelaine, Ellen, Brooke

If go with either Charlotte or Arabella.
I know so many Sarahs, I'm older though but it's probably the most common name amongst the women I know, I always have to refer to them by their surname when I'm talking about any of them.

I don't think Arabella is a classy name, sorry OP. To me it sounds like the sort of name a four year old would give her dolly.

Emily, Sarah and Charlotte are all classic names. Sarah in particular is not very widely used at the moment.

If you like those names then maybe consider Alexandra, Elizabeth, Katherine, Anna, Sophie or Sophia, Florence, Lucy or Lucia, Eleanor, Emma, Beatrice, Maria, Julia, Susannah, Madeleine, Josephine, Isabel.

If you like the "-ella" sound then Isabella is a classier choice than Arabella. You might also like Annabel.

I like about 70% of the names posted but really dislike Arabella. I find it just so, so fussy.

I agree with @MrsSchadenfreude that anything used by the royal family is probably fairly timeless. Also look at classic novels and the women's names in them; Jane, Elizabeth, Tess, Anne etc.

I like Emily and Charlotte. Not too keen on Arabella and Sarah but don't strongly dislike them either. How about Amelia? It's got the Emily feel about it but a bit fancier. Could be a good compromise.

Names like Evelyn, Isabelle, Eleanor, Olivia etc are a good bet in my opinion. They're classy but in a mainstream and classic kind of way, not in a "made in Chelsea" kind of way.

Personally I absolutely hate names like Arabella, Araminta, Georgiana etc, they all feel just too OTT for me.

A name doesn't have be 4 syllables long to be classy. Sarah is lovely. Other options:

Alexandra (the only 4 syllable name I like...)

We also considered:
Arabella (but I didn't like Bella)

Eleanor (Ella)
Victoria (didn't like Vicky or Tori tho!)
Zara
Alice or Alicia (A-lis-e-a)
Emily (nice but bland?)

I'm not keen on Sarah, knew too many at school!

I'm not so keen on Arabella or Emily.

Francesca; my daughter’s name and I (obviously) love it. Mine’s been Frankie from the start, but I think it seems to fit whatever the personality; Francesca, Fran, Frankie...it can be cool & edgy or pretty & girly

Sarah and Emily are boring imo. Some really good suggestions here bar Candida. I do know of a Fenella which makes me cringe every time I hear it. I'd be sticking with the like of Charlotte, Alexandra and Elizabeth - also really versatile for age appropriate nicknames.
