What do you think of Rose? (Second name will be Elizabeth) sure name starts with H.
Is it too plain? I like it but not sure.. any suggestions? (avoiding names with E or L in them- both sisters have names with those letters 🤦🏽‍♀️)
Thank you!

Rose is stunning, and I much prefer it as a first name.

Marimari93 · 01/05/2020 09:37

Roses are gorgeous they smell divine and are wonderful flowers but as a name it has become a bit tedious, especially as a middle name.

If you like Luke but want more than one syllable, how about Luca?

bigMummycuddles · 29/04/2020 17:42

I love the same rose. I dont think it matters if a name is "too plain" which rose isnt, i think that the child makes the name what it really is as they grow a personality. I also love Rose as a middle name.

Thank you all! If it’s a girl we are definitely going with Rose. That’s done.
Please help me with boys names!!!
Siblings are Emily, Ben & Ellena. I would like the name to be more the 1 syllable.
Any ideas? Thank you!

It’s just the most beautiful name

DrinkingInTheNightGarden · 29/04/2020 16:06

I think the word itself isn't particularly pretty and does sound a bit dull but what it stands for i.e. the flower makes it pretty. My favourite flowers are roses so I do try to be objective about it :-)

MsChatterbox · 29/04/2020 11:36

Love it. I wanted it but hubby didn't. So we're using it as a middle (Eloise Rose)

Meadows20 · 29/04/2020 11:30

If we were having a girl we would have called her Rose...lovely name. Admittedly, we both said she would end up being called Rosie but we had no issue with that :)

LotusClover · 29/04/2020 11:01

I prefer Rosanna or Rosalie with Rose for short, but Rose by itself is gorgeous too.

mondler · 29/04/2020 10:08

Love Rose Elizabeth and it goes well with sibling names

SpicedCamomile · 29/04/2020 09:32

It is my favourite girl’s name and I would almost certainly have used it if I had had a girl! Our surname starts with D and I was thinking of using Rose Elizabeth, so she could be Rose Red - but she also might have been Rose Stephanie.

toughgetsgoing · 29/04/2020 09:28

Rose is a classy, timeless name. She can go by Rosie or Rose and switch between the two even. Perfect for a strong name and also a nickname if she finds Rose too plain. Not the most exciting name but it's not too girly which I find the problem with many girls names, and it's easy to spell and say and the sound of it isn't unattractive

hayley2257 · 29/04/2020 07:36

I really like Rose, but love Rosa!!

daisypond · 29/04/2020 07:03

It’s nice, and so much nicer as a first name than a middle name.

MrsP2015 · 29/04/2020 06:53

Matches with other names perfect.

Good choice.

saffy1234 · 29/04/2020 06:52

Love the name Rose.Beautiful .Rosa has become common so go with Rose

Goostacean · 29/04/2020 06:49

It's gorgeous, classic and timeless, certainly not too plain.

Agreed!

GaraMedouar · 29/04/2020 06:45

Love Rose !

oooompa · 29/04/2020 06:43

I love the name Rose, it was on our list for DD2 but we ended up using it for a middle name. If I'd have thought we might have gone for baby number 3 Rose would have been the first choice but we knew we'd not have 3.

Elizabeth is also a beautiful name, but then again I'm biased because DD1 is an Elizabeth!

KatherineJaneway · 29/04/2020 06:30

I like Rose.

WhiteVixen · 29/04/2020 06:29

We’ve recently used Rose as our second daughter’s middle name. She’s six months old now.

YouAndMeAndTheDevilMakesThree · 29/04/2020 06:27

Love Rose

123Dancewithme · 29/04/2020 00:29
