Hi all, hope you’re all keeping safe.

What are your thoughts on this name? It’s not my favorite but the only one me and my partner can agree on at the moment.

My favourite is Xanthe but he doesn’t love this..

Really cute. Myra is a completely different name and I've never heard of the lingerie company. However Bella is used a lot for women's items like that and it's still undeniably a beautiful abbreviation of Isabella and Arabella et al. Myla Is cute xx

Zélie is a French name which I really like.

You could also have Zalie as a nickname for Azalea.

I'm biased here as we have a Xanthe (nestled in between an Ava and an Eliza!) and we love it and so does she. She's a teenager now and revels in being a little bit different but not totally 'out there'. It's shorted to Xan or XanXan and it really does suit her down to the ground. Persuade your husband!

As an alternative, we actually got to Xanthe as I went to uni with a girl called Xalie, which I thought was incredibly exotic and vowed to give it to one of my kids. Hubbie hated it but was happy with Xanthe, which was next in the list int he name book!

Myla seems a bit downmarket and I don't think it's a pretty name,

Only other name we somewhat agree on is Imogen, but I don’t love it.

I’ll get him to write a list, see if we can agree on anything! Thanks everyone x

It's a nice name but she little too close to Myra especially when you see it written down...agree Mila is better.

I don't like it, sorry. I don't detest it but it's too Mia, Mya, Mila, Tia, Tilly, Milly for me.

I had heard of the Lingerie brand but I didn’t know if it was that well known? But it obviously is!

@LotusClover Yes that’s exactly what I was worried about, that it would eventually sound dated.

As for Xanthe, would you all go with a name that your other half didn’t like, or would it be important that they love the name too?
