I don't like it, I don't like the look or sound, but then I don't like Freddie or Frederick either. One point in its favour is that at least it's not cutesy.

Honestly. It just makes me think of Fred West. That's it, it's ruined the name for me.

I think it's nice. Not too popular either, though I've known a few younger ones.

May get called Freddie by friends at school/some relatives - would that bother you?

(I would put Frederick on the Birth Certificate but that's just me not liking abbreviations as full names)

My dgs is Freddie and sometimes gets Fred. Makes him seem like a little old man tbh!!
Prefer Freddie. Bit less harsh for a dc!!
