I really like Seth and Ned, although I think Ned needs the option of a ‘proper’ name to use if he wishes to. Not keen on Travis, it sounds a bit 70s to me - possibly because it makes me think of Dave Lee Travis.

ofwarren · 23/04/2020 01:20

I don't like any of them, sorry

Staffori · 23/04/2020 01:15

I love Seth and Ned but not Travis. Another name I think of as similar to Seth is Jethro.

ElaineMarieBenes · 22/04/2020 16:09

Love Seth - as others have said Ned is more a nn and Travis is a cowboy of a name!

mistermagpie · 22/04/2020 15:07

Sorry, see others already said about Ned!

mistermagpie · 22/04/2020 15:06

I like Seth and Travis, I considered both of them for my third baby (which turned out to be a girl!). Ned is awful. I live in Glasgow though and a Ned here is what you would call a Chav in England (think it stands for Non Educated Delinquent).

Marimari93 · 22/04/2020 15:01

Seth - ok. Just hope he doesn't have a lisp
Ned - Flanders
Travis - American

CreamWhitecakes · 22/04/2020 15:00

If you want honesty all three are pretty terrible.
Seth is the best. Ned is awful and Travis is even worse.

CheriLittlebottom · 22/04/2020 14:59

I like Ned but only as a nickname. Edward or Edmund as the given name, I prefer Edmund though.

Not keen on the others.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 22/04/2020 14:54

Hate them all. Particularly Travis.

SquigglePigs · 22/04/2020 14:52

Love Seth. Not keen on the others.

DramaAlpaca · 22/04/2020 14:51

I don't like any of them.

Figgygal · 22/04/2020 11:11

No to all of them I’m afraid

user1493494961 · 22/04/2020 11:09

Like Seth, really like Ned but as a shortening for Edmund or Edward. Agree with pp, Travis has a different vibe, a bit downmarket.

Itsabitmessy · 22/04/2020 11:06

I like Seth but not the other two. Ned reminds me of a donkey.

SpillTheTeaa · 22/04/2020 10:59

I love Travis was on the short list for DS.

123Dancewithme · 22/04/2020 10:46

I only like Seth

Southwesterly · 22/04/2020 09:31

I'd avoid Seth if you live anywhere near places where it will get pronounced 'Seff', which I think would be soul-destroying.

MikeUniformMike · 22/04/2020 09:25

Seth - not keen. There are nicer biblical names, and nicer names of the same sort of length

Ned - look it up. Ed short for Edward, Edmund, Edgar or Edwin is nicer, or how about Red.

Travis - the band, Dave Lee. Just No.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 22/04/2020 08:20

Adore Seth. Wanted it for DS but hubby vetoed.

Ned is more nicknamey to me. Could you go with Edward and NN him Ned?

Travis is a totally different style of name. Personally, not my taste. Have a hunch it will probably date badly.

Southwesterly · 22/04/2020 08:11

Seth is fine, Travis is Godawful.

converseandjeans · 22/04/2020 08:08

Don't like any of those sorry.

OnlyJudyCanJudgeMe · 22/04/2020 07:54

Seth is a good, sturdy Biblical name.
Ned (Flanders) is what we Scots call a chav/ delinquent etc.
Travis isn’t bad but too American for MY taste.

SylvanianFrenemies · 22/04/2020 07:54

Ned is out if your child might ever want to live in or visit Scotland.
Not terribly keen on any of them tbh, but prefer Travis to Seth.

SnowdropFox · 22/04/2020 07:49

My favourite from your list is Seth. I'm Scottish and so yeah, Ned would be out for me.
