Pretty much settled on either Carrie or Felicity. Thoughts on either would be appreciated. I sway between both. Middle name to be Frances.

My only thought with Carrie, is that it feels more of a nickname?

Thank you in advance lovely community!

Carrie - Love!
♡

Spanglishness · 20/04/2020 18:32

Carrie is definitely not a nickname-y name but I really don’t like it because I think of the film/book
I love felicity

MikeUniformMike · 20/04/2020 18:06

Carrie. I'd use it as a nn for Caroline, which I think is lovely, or Carina.
I don't like Felicity.

Thank you so much for all of your responses! Still torn - but really value all the comments. xx

Caroline nn Carrie would be great.

justanotherparent1810 · 19/04/2020 23:18

Carrie sounds better with the middle name but I love both equally

erised · 19/04/2020 23:14

Felicity is my sisters name and we call her Fliss or Flissy. Her friends call her Flick.

Zazia · 19/04/2020 23:13

Love Carrie.
Not keen on Felicity.

SE13Mummy · 19/04/2020 22:35

I don't know many people named Felicity. I can think of one in her 20s, two in their 40s and one who is 70 something. According to the ONS it only entered the top 100 names in 2018 and even areas where it's most used, it represents no more than 1.1% of births.

Which of these 2 girls names..?

Carrie. There’s a lot of Felicity’s around

emilybrontescorsett · 19/04/2020 17:44

I really like both.

Ellmau · 19/04/2020 16:54

Felicity. Carrie definitely sounds short for something.

LotusClover · 19/04/2020 14:20

Carrie 100%. Felicity is nice but as others have said, it's a bit dated and the nickname "Flick" is horrible. Also, Felicity Frances sounds a bit fussy to me.

Carrie is lovely and I know a couple of girls who have it as their full name. It works perfectly fine as a standalone name in my opinion and is very pretty.

strawberry2017 · 19/04/2020 12:28

My best friend is Carrie and it's a fabulous name. X

Ikeameatballs · 19/04/2020 11:51

I like both. I think it depends upon the flow with your surname.

Carrie7469 · 19/04/2020 11:48

I've had mine spelt as "Carry" a couple of times 🤔

Blursula · 19/04/2020 09:25

I prefer Carrie. Felicity is nice but she will probably never be called that - so it depends really how you feel about Flick, Fliss and Flissy!

Bitofeverything · 19/04/2020 08:55

Carie in french means tooth rot or just rot and I’m half french, so don’t love it!

NannyR · 19/04/2020 08:49

I love Carrie, I quite like Caroline but I think Carrie works as a stand alone name. I thought of the book "Carries War" by Nina Bawden when I heard it (a favourite childhood book)

littlefawn · 19/04/2020 08:45

Carrie

tiedy · 19/04/2020 06:20

Carrie is nicer

OffThePlanet · 19/04/2020 05:38

Felicity is my favourite. DD’s friend’s name is Felicia.

Astronica · 19/04/2020 05:32

Felicity. Gorgeous. Felicity Frances is a great combo!

QueenofDestruction · 19/04/2020 02:51

Felicity is lovely, Carrie also reminds me of the film

Rainbowqueeen · 19/04/2020 02:49

Felicity would be my choice.
