Edward?

I posted earlier for help with boys names. I love Edward but the popularity really put me off. I had some responses saying it was on a downward move in the name stats and not many knew of little Edwards.

I really like the possible nns Ed, Eddy, Ned and my favourite, Woody!

Do you think of this lovely classic as very popular? To be honest, I think it was only my perceived popularity that put me off the name.

I would love to hear your thoughts/how many little E's you know of?

I only know one Edward he is 3. I think it's a lovely classic name and as you said scope for loads of nicknames depending on what suits, my personal favourite being Ted!

There were a couple at school (I'm late 20s). I've met one baby Eddie.

I like names that are in moderate use - means there isnt loads of them, but equally people know how to spell/pronounce it.

Good choice.

I only know one, he's a teenager known as Eddy. I really like it.
