Hi, we’re due out second baby in a few months and really struggling to agree on names. Dd 1 is called Wren. Here are some names we are currently thinking, please give your opinion on them and suggest other names we might like!

Girls:
Amalie
Delilah
Winnie (but not sure I want another W name)
Brio y
Georgiana / Georgie

Boys:
Jude
Ezra
Henry
Noah

We have very different tastes in names so are struggling to find some we both like.

Love Briony for a girl- also Esme or Ivy?
For a boy Gilbert popped into my head when I thought of Wren?

VerbenaGirl · 20/04/2020 15:16

Delilah and Jude.

ladycarlotta · 20/04/2020 15:11

Briony is so lovely with Wren. And if you feel a sentimental connection to Jasper that's a great reason to use it.

Whatsyourflava · 20/04/2020 11:00

Which names have you added to the list? So we can get more of an idea what you like? @justanotherparent1810

justanotherparent1810 · 20/04/2020 10:47

Thanks for your suggestions, we’ve been able to add a few more names to the list that we both like. We’re still struggling to agree on a name so more suggestions would be welcome.

Briony or Georgianna
Jude or Ezra

justanotherparent1810 · 17/04/2020 10:48

Ellmau I think Jasper is sentimental because I spent nearly every summer of my childhood in Jasper, Canada with grandparents.

Buttercup54321 I lobe Robyn but I think they match two much, both R names and bird names. I also love Freddie but as soon as I mentioned it dp shot it down 😞

Delilah and Georgiana go best with Wren of your list.

Not Henry with Wren - too rhymy. Noah maybe? Love Jasper if you can persuade your dh.

Astronica · 17/04/2020 04:05

Briony would be perfect. Also like Georgiana/Georgie and with Wren. Not keen on the others.
I like Henry and Felix from your boy's list. Great with Wren.

Chocolatecake12 I think I might be adding Heidi and Felix to the list!! When I suggested Felix about a month ago dp wasn’t keen but I’ve just mentioned it again and he seems to be warming to it but still insists it’s a cats name.

peperethecat · 14/04/2020 18:12

Amalie - OK but I would spell it Amelie
Delilah - Not keen, just makes me want to sing Why Why Why Delilah
Winnie - The Pooh? It's a no from me.
Briony - Love this.
Georgiana/Georgie - OK but I think the 'ana' is a bit frilly. Prefer Georgia or Georgina.

Like all your boy names.

Some other suggestions:

Lila/Lilah
Hazel
Willow
June
Rowena

Gabriel
Leo
Adam
Reuben
Isaac

bridgetreilly · 14/04/2020 18:00

Briar, maybe?

CoffeeBeansGalore · 14/04/2020 17:54

Briony is lovely.

userabcname · 14/04/2020 17:53

I really like Georgiana for a girl. I love Atticus! But from your original list I'd pick Noah I think.

Whatsyourflava · 14/04/2020 17:44

Ps. Love Jasper. Not sure on Atticus because of the racism stuff

Whatsyourflava · 14/04/2020 17:43

Girls:
Amalie - love
Delilah - love- one of my fav names ever
Winnie - love. Also like Willa
Briony - sounds a bit too much like Brian to me. Don’t like nn Bri.
Georgiana / Georgie - it’s ok

Boys:
Jude - love
Ezra - love - favourite
Henry - love
Noah - love -another favourite

whatausername · 14/04/2020 15:43

Ezra is nice.

I strongly dislike Amalie if it is pronounced Ah-mah-lay. If it's Amelie then I would the conventional spelling (if it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it).

Briony is unusual and pretty. I like the suggestion of Hazel.

IckleBear · 14/04/2020 15:28
