Down to two names :)
Elodie or Naomi?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like them both, so no help.

GetTheSprinkles · 14/04/2020 13:24

Elodie is so classic and beautiful
Eloise is similar and one you may like?
I get annoyed how people pronounce naomi in 2 different ways (Nye vs Nay)

Megan2018 · 14/04/2020 13:17

Both lovely, Naomi is my favourite of the two

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 14/04/2020 13:15

Naomi.

Zinniasout · 14/04/2020 13:14

I massively prefer Elodie which is really pretty. Naomi always sounds a bit moany to me - that 'Oh me!' sound is off-putting.

Branleuse · 14/04/2020 13:12

The only Elodie I know, gets called Elodie or Ello.
The Naomis I have known always go by their full name

Blursula · 14/04/2020 12:54

I love Elodie. However, the Elodie I know goes by Ellie and the Naomi I know goes by Nay... so prepare for them to be shortened by mates! Both lovely names though

Branleuse · 14/04/2020 12:53

I love both names

ACatCalledLola · 14/04/2020 12:51

These were my two top choices OP. We went for Elodie but Naomi is a strong contender for current bump if it’s a girl.

Maybesmummy · 14/04/2020 10:11

Thanks everyone! I am still undecided, might just have to wait a couple more months until she is here and then decide. I'm just happy we've managed to get down to two names :)

Naomi

MsChatterbox · 14/04/2020 05:47

Elodie 😍. I wanted this name but my husband wouldn't agree. So we settled on Eloise 🤣

Violet25 · 14/04/2020 05:40

Elodie.

Ellmau · 14/04/2020 00:46

Elodie is pretty but it really going to date.

Naomi is classic.

SE13Mummy · 14/04/2020 00:29

Definitely Naomi. Under used, beautiful name.

SophieInTheSky · 14/04/2020 00:25

Both are lovely but Elodie is very chic and elegant.

POP7777777 · 14/04/2020 00:17

Naomi

87Callista · 14/04/2020 00:16

Elodie
How about Elowen?

Astronica · 14/04/2020 00:13

I much prefer Elodie.

Jigsawpuzzlebits · 13/04/2020 22:31

MikeUniformMike why comment if you don't like either?

I would go with Elodie.

Cahu58 · 13/04/2020 22:15

LOVE Naomi...

DramaAlpaca · 13/04/2020 21:29

I prefer Elodie, which usually rhymes with Melody in English.

Naomi is nice, but the various pronunciations could get annoying.

hellosunshine5 · 13/04/2020 21:28

In that case, Naomi gets my vote Grin

FeedMeSantiago · 13/04/2020 21:27

I like them both but never sure if Elodie is said like Melody or Elle-oh-Dee.

I would pronounce Naomi as Nay-oh-me, as would DH. My parents pronounce it Nigh-oh-me, which we don't like and we therefore struck off our list.

bridgetreilly · 13/04/2020 21:22

I've never heard it any way other than to rhyme with Melody.
