Albert or Arthur?!

So I've hit my due date, no baby and still no name 😩 I think we have narrowed our list down to these two. What are peoples opinions?! Or if anyone else has any suggestions on an old style name beginning with a I'd love to hear it! Thank you in advance x

Arthur. Albert just makes me think Prince Albert.

Chefwifelife · 15/04/2020 06:59

I love both names and also have an Arthur. Currently trying to decide on baby boy number 2’s name. You have two solid names so could always go with your gut feeling when you meet him. Good luck.

MotherOfAllNameChanges · 15/04/2020 06:04

Albert!

Mammyloveswine · 15/04/2020 04:46

I'd go for Albert as love n.n Albie or Bertie!

Jossina · 15/04/2020 04:17

Albert, nicknamed Bertie or Albie.

MartiniDry · 15/04/2020 00:29

Albert every time. There are already too many Arthurs in primary schools and nurseries. Besides, Albert is so much nicer.

Like both but prefer Albert. Love nns Alby and Bertie. I know a little Aldous and think it's great.

I have an Arthur and have only met one other. I always get compliments on his name, too Smile

I Love the Name Arthur as it is my nephews name

87Callista · 14/04/2020 18:37

Albert x

GetTheSprinkles · 14/04/2020 10:57

Both are lovely. I think you have more scope for cute nicknames with Albert (Albie, Al, Bertie)
Alf always makes me think of that brown alien guy

daisypond · 14/04/2020 10:51

Arthur is popular. I know several primary school-aged ones. Albert seems a bit behind the curve already as well, just that style of name.
Aldous
Arnold

I prefer Albert. DS has a boy in his class called that and its lovely. Never met Albert before. I actaully love Alberto(currently 15 weeks and is on my list)

Pantheon · 14/04/2020 10:17

I prefer Arthur. I think it's because my dd has a little friend called Arthur, so I'm biased!

toughgetsgoing · 14/04/2020 10:09

Arthurs got better nickname potential, but like both

MollyPea · 12/04/2020 20:01

Arthur’s cute but possibly getting a bit popular? If you don’t mind that though then go for it!

MummaSt · 12/04/2020 19:55

Arthur

userabcname · 12/04/2020 19:11

Whatsyourflava · 12/04/2020 17:48

Not met one yet though I appreciate it’s getting more popular

Positevibes · 12/04/2020 17:36

I think Arthur is super cute

Callingyounique · 12/04/2020 17:17

Like both but prefer Bertie or Albie .

ilikebigbuttsandicannotlie · 12/04/2020 17:14

I like both but prefer Arthur I would say. I know two little cousins called Arthur and Bertie and they’re so much fun.
