I'd avoid Saoirse and Oisin unless you live in Ireland. I's say them as Sairsha and Osheen but that's just a guess.

Alex - I'd go for Alexander or the BC. Mainly cos I know someone who regretted not doing so as it would give him the option of using Xander (hmm). It also lets Alec, Sandy and Sasha be options.

Zoe is nice and goes well with Mia.

Krisskrosskiss · 11/04/2020 15:49

Zara Elizabeth
Alex James

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 11/04/2020 15:47

Are you Irish? If not then saoirse might be a bit problematic. Zoe is a bit 2000s for me. My vote would be Zara Grace, and Alex James. Corey reminds me of apple cores.

Boireannachlaidir · 11/04/2020 15:36

Zara Elizabeth and Alex James

CaffiSaliMali · 11/04/2020 15:26

I like Oisín James and Saoirse Isabel best, followed by Oisín Alexander and Saoirse Grace.

I'm not sure how well they go with Mia though. Zara and Alex probably go better. I would probably avoid giving one child a very popular name, and the other a much less popular name (if you're in Ireland then Oisín and Saoirse may well be reasonably popular, in which case it may not be an issue)

Spied · 11/04/2020 10:39

Zara Grace is beautiful.
Alex(ander) James.

MrsEricBana · 11/04/2020 10:33

I know this should be obvious, but it wasn't to me Blush, but it doesn't matter so much what "First Middle Last" name sounds like as that is rarely said together, only "First Last". Our dd's full name is just lovely but "First Last" on reflection is a bit too short as first name is 2 syllables and last name 1 syllable e.g. Anna Clementine Smith v Anna Smith.

Mumista · 11/04/2020 10:25

Zara Grace
Alex [other middle name]

BabynameKiwi · 11/04/2020 10:17

My favourites are Zoe Emilia & Alex James (Although I would be inclined to use Alexander as a full name)

123Dancewithme · 11/04/2020 10:13

Zara Isabel and Oisin Alexander

YappityYapYap · 11/04/2020 09:54

Oh just noticed there's middle names. I would say

Zara Elizabeth

Alex (Alexander) James

YappityYapYap · 11/04/2020 09:53

Alex or Zara

Luckystar1 · 11/04/2020 09:50

If you are not in Ireland, don’t go for Saoirse or Oisin. Oisin is one of my favourite names of all time, but my husband is English as are his family, and my DS was born in England, and even when following my pronunciation exactly, my husband was just not able to get it right. I just couldn’t have dealt with the mispronunciation!

We live in NI now, and Saoirse still has some Republican connections up here, although not so much down south.

All in all, I’d go for the other names if you are outside of Ireland.

kim1856 · 11/04/2020 09:43

Zara Amelia
Alex Corey x

AdaColeman · 11/04/2020 09:39

Zara Elizabeth or Zara Grace are both lovely.

Alexander James with Alex as a nn.

I see on the “How to pronounce this name” thread running ATM, Saoirse is mentioned many times, and there are a few versions of the correct pronunciation, so I’d avoid it for that reason. The same goes for Oisin.

Leah00 · 11/04/2020 09:37

Saoirse Emilia - LOVE this
Zoe Emilia - think nice with Mia

Oisín with James as mn if your last name is 2+ syllables, or Alexander as mn if your last name is one syllable

Such lovely choices OP!

Ughmaybenot · 11/04/2020 09:32

Zara Elizabeth
Alex James

Dyra · 11/04/2020 09:26

Zoe Grace

And as with virtually every other PP :P
Alex(ander) James

MrsEricBana · 11/04/2020 09:23

Based on the which names do you struggle to pronounce thread I'd have to say not Saoirse or Oisin, sorry.
For me it would be Zoe Emilia or Alex James.

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 11/04/2020 09:16

Saoirse is lovely once you know how to pronounce it but a lot of people don’t. (And I’ve heard people read it as along the lines of “sore arse” which isn’t ideal!) I also struggled with spelling it - not least because MNHQ kept trying to change it to Solarise!

So unless you are in Ireland or incredibly patient then I wouldn’t go for Saoirse.

Zara and Zoe both nice. Zoe probably better with Mia as different sounds. Zoe Grace is particularly nice.

Oisin again is really nice if you know how to pronounce it but again he would be called “Oi-sin” unless you are in Ireland.

I do really like Alexander James as a name and “Mia and Alex” go well together.

emilybrontescorsett · 11/04/2020 09:03

Oisin Alexander and Saoirse Isabel.

Mish85 · 11/04/2020 09:01

Zoe Grace goes well with Mia. Otherwise Zara Grace or Zara Elizabeth (Zazi would be a cute nn for this)
I like Emilia best with Saoirse
Oisin Alexander my fav of the boys, mostly because not a huge fan of Alex.

Whatsyourflava · 11/04/2020 08:56

I LOVE alex and zoe or Zara
